Hi everyone! Welcome to my page. This is my 1994 Chrysler Lebaron LE. I bought it back in 2005 for $900. It's been a work in progress ever since. When I bought the car, it had 113,000 miles on it. Currently it is almost 150,000. The first problem I had was the transmission failing, it overheated due to the previous owner never changing the fluid so the torque converter went bad. I tore the transmission out, and the car sat for about 6 months before I found another transmission. I picked one up at a shop for $300, it was a rebuilt trans from Chyrsler and it was put into a car for a man and then the car rusted out not long after that so he just gave the car back to the shop owner and he wanted to get rid of the car. I put the new trans in and it worked great. The car ran good for a couple months and then the engine started having issues. Me and my brother tore the engine out and tore it down, the engine had filled up with antifreeze. We thought it was a head gasket issue, so we put all new gaskets in and the egine flooded with antifreeze again! We could not figure out why it was doing this , so off we went to the junkyard. I found an engine for $200 out of an 1988 dynasty. It had 43,000 miles on it. We took off the top of the engine and fitted it with the 94 top end. After installing the engine, it too filled up with antifreeze! We finally figured out that the lower intake gaskets are what failed in the original engine, they are what let the antifreeze down into the cylinders. If you have issues with you engine eating antifreeze, CHECK THE LOWER INTAKE GASKESTS FIRST!!! It can save you lots of time.

These are some pics after I got the car inspected and with the new '88 motor installed.

The new '88 motor installed and cleaned up a little

Unfortunately, about a few months later, I got into a car accident that messed up the whole front end. We had to replace the hood and right front fender and the whole radiator support. We cut off the damaged front rad support and welded in a new one. It looks like shit right now, but its going to get another hood and the car repainted. I don't have many pics from the rebuild, but when I can find them I will put them up as well as some pics of what the car looks like now. I plan on doing some mods to this car, its going to be torn down soon and redone correctly. I will be getting a 93' Spirit to do a 5 speed swap and some other plans to that car so keep checking back for updates.

Hey everyone, just thought i'd write some updates. I had the left front balljoint go bad on me over last weekend, I replaced it on monday. These type are the pressed in ones, you will need a special tool kit to remove them, you can rent it at any auto parts store. I noticed that the lower control arm seems to be bent, I think I will be picking up another one at the junkyard this weekend. I know the struts are going to need replaced as well as the wheel hubs, so that will probably be done in the next few weeks before it gets inspected. Nothing else is really new, after these repairs are done im going to start collecting body parts to get it prepped for a new paint job. We'll see how things turn out. Should be picking up a new digital camera very soon, so stay tuned for some new pics.

Well, I have some good news and some bad news. Good news is I am in the process of getting a 5 speed manual transmission and another engine, so hopefully I will have it by this weekend or next. The new wheel hubs will be ordered this weekend, possibly installed. I'm going to do a full front-end inspection this weekend to see exactly what I need to do this right. I know I had originally said I was going to do this swap in a another vehicle, but I really want to make this car special. There isn't many Lebaron Sedans with the 5 speed installed so I want it to be one of the few. One other problem had cropped up, and thats the air bag. For some reason it stays lit the entire time now, I don't know whats gone wrong with it. Other than that shes been behaving good. As I find out more about the trans swap and other things, i'll be posting.

LEAVE ME SOME COMMENTS!!!!! IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS OR SUGGESTIONS, DON'T HESITATE TO POST THEM! I'm on here constantly, so if you have questions or leave me some comments I will comment you back! Thanks!

Hey Matt! Thanks for the update. I really think that green looks nice on your car, its my favorite color too. I put new struts on awhile back and what a difference it makes so glad your getting yours done too. And your wheels. I am thinking about getting tinted windows because here in Florida the suns a killer on your eyes. And hey, guess what I did? My hide away lights stopped working about three months ago, so I got on the internet and had a junk yard ship me the motor, and I installed it all by my self.(all though it took me about a month to build up the courage to do it) lol I was so happy. Even had to splice the wire harness from the old motor to the new one. Works just like new again. How about that! Made me feel so good to have done it myself, and you know the feeling Im sure! Well thank you for thinking about me and keeping me posted. You have a great Lebaron Matt and I know it takes some work getting her the way you want her,but be patient and it will all come together. It's so worth it! All for now, and enjoy your Chrysler Lebaron, it's awsome to have a car like these!... by the way, how about that cold weather youve been having and all that snow. I Miss that, use to go cross country skiing all the time... How many inches of snow did you get so far...Anyways Merry Christmas Matt, take care.....

Hey, Nice Baron, I had some electrical issues with mine a while ago, Hope you get it all sorted out. There are actually quite a few places that sell the body kit online for $$$ only other possible way to get it would be a junk yard. You can even go to the razzi site and order it, but don't they charge the absolute highest for it. Here are some sites you can get it at cheaper! http://www.grounddynamics.com/Templates/frmTemplateL1.asp?SubFolderI=1282&SearchYN=N http://www.andysautosport.com/chrysler/1987_1992_lebaron/exterior/body_kits/razzi/ Hope this helps you out and good luck on one sweet ride.

Hello Matt! Checked out your site and I really like the color of your car. What color did you have in mind when you get it re-painted? To bad about the crash, but a great thing your doing to get her on the road again. Would love to see some pic's when you get your new camera.Keep me posted on your progress Matt. Ladylace
