hey man, thanks for checking out the page. The first time I painted the valve cover I took it off, not hard at all. The gasket is rubber, just reused it. Did the same with the second motor, never had any leaks. I also shaved the symbols off, and cut it open to see the cam gears. if u have any problems finding places to get parts from, just contact me through here, good luck
