Just picture this with a flatbed tray on the back, non-colour matching, slightly surface rusted panels, about 5000 dents in the cab/front fenders, a missing back window, and a missing drivers side indicator lens.

It's a flathead V8 with *a cracked head* (apparently), coupled to a floor mounted stickshift manual. Planning on a Mitsubishi front-end, either a 351c.i. or 460c.i. engine, and 8in. wide front tyres with 12in. wide trailing behind. Hopefully to look like this once completed (around the same colour too):

Update

16 feb 2009

Did some cleaning, cleaned the inside of the cab and outside (swept the dust/dirt/crap into a bucket, wiped some stuff down with a damp cloth). Got a bucket full and a third of a bucket full of crap. And i've still got to do underneath the seat and behind the seat. Got some photos of it just before i started work on it. Will post after pics once im finished cleaning.

Thanks for checking our truck out. Yes the hood does fit back on it but you are right we have it off for the weight savings and airflow. Looks like you have a good project on your hands.

Oh sorry the wheel opening changes for the size of the tire for each one two, So with you having 16inch tires you may have a F-2 bigger opening. You can swap the front clip with a F-1 no mods needed all three will interchange Just depends how you want the tires to look in the opening

Racer , check the angle cut on my pics , I see i have a decent close up , that is the prper angle for a F-1, I put a F-1 clip on the F-3, F-2 has a little less and a F-3 has no angle jsut straight across... Its really not a big deal except you can only get fiberglass pieces for the teh f-1 clip. The cab is the same and beleive the f-2 jsut a had a beefier rear suspension..
