Wrote off!!!! Lady heading towards me, turned left in front of me. We went head on, and it would have cost over $3000 to fix, so insurance company wrote my baby off. All mods, labour; wasted guys. If you live close to Ch'town, PEI, let me know of what year cav you have. Ill try to make an offer that works for the both of us. Thanks. RIP: "BOMB", 2 cav's down....both not my fault :(
1997 Chevrolet Cavalier RS
This is my second ride. This one got to see the road though. Its a 2 door, 5 speed with a stock 2.2L. Has 255 xxx kms as it rides now.
Still never got a chance to patch up the rust, and winter is taking its toll on the car! yay....
I currently removed all decals, pin strips, and radio antenna. Im gonna weld the hole over where the antenna goes, I have a cd player, and dont need the radio anymore. Started to sand down the rust, holes are bigger, may use some fiberglass material to make it stronger.
The car has almost had it in. Now adays its one problem after another. So im wondering fellow drivers, whats your verdict on this rig. I dont have a lot of money, so should i keep the car and keep putting money into it, or save up for a newer cav or a sunfire, or maybe a totaly different car altogether. Let me know what you think. Sooner the better. Enjoy!

Had to put on a noise muffler, come on, it adds to the loudness of the car haha. $20 doesnt hurt the car in any way hahaha.

I put the 14" rims with the tires from the 87' cav, onto my new cav. Sets off spedometer just a lil but it looks decent on the car. Im gonna put my 15" steel rims on this winter.
So, i made a cold air intake, the cheep way. Bought a Tuner Air Filter, removed the top of the box, and the old filter, cut away one side of the box, and used 2 3/4" exhaust pipe with 2 clamps. It just sits right in there, and it does the trick minus the money!
