83 ranger 4x4 traded $100.00 car for it put newer 2.8 from junk yard . just some back ground i am a singel dad of 4 yes 4 teen age boys from 19 to 14 so $$$$ for my truck is minmal every thing is from the scrap yard or my back yard witch is like a scrap yard built not bought on with the truck frront end dana 28 (booo) 2x4 ranger front springs f100 shocks sway bar tossed c clip kit swaped to manaul hubs bushing kit balljoints steeringlink all re placed brakes of course 373s added from 345s replaced tranny (C5) rebuilt local shop . tranny cooler. steering cooler from 65 galixe 500 . aux cooling fan from big rig (tranny cooling fan) brand new lucked out on it it was free.hooked low beames though a relay robed from a bronco2 computer to high beam so they stay on with high beams way more light. home built billit dash made frome 07 f350 hood picked up from local body shop free . out back 7.5 373s lock right i fliped the shackels and moved them back built my own spring pack whith exploer and ranger springs stacked togther bringing truck to ride hight gained a bit of lift abel to fit 31 10.5 tires minmal fender cut no rub in the praires we need to drive in a hole to climb a hill so no need for big lift back shocks are 2inch lift with top mounts moved up right to bottom of bed no problems with this set up as a hole the travel doubeled out back.seames more stabel and way better on wash boad roads for those who know about thes tings its a much better deal. had to add limeting strap home made from old lifting sling and move back brake spliter on top of diff up with old alt spacer sway bar tossed rims where sitting on buddys shelf for years he had no clue what for one day soon after i bought the truck i was there he was looking at my truck and said "i bet those ugly #$@!&*^ rims would fit this thing" we checked and yes free rims still ugly but beter than stock (the are steel 15x8) theres lots more not used to this much thinking will up date as i build or bust it
