Whats up...my name's Darin, I'm 17, and I'm from West Virginia. Before you read about my ride I just wanna say that I'm a Christian and I love the Lord. Anyways...I drive a 1980 GMC Caballero. I bought pretty much the way it looks except that I put on the Corvette Rallies, added the chrome bumpers and tail lights, and the mirrors. Interior wise, my dad and I redid the stereo system and put weather strips on the doors. I've got a new hood that needs painted for it that way I can get rid of the bolt on scoop. I also have a bench seat that needs upholstry. If you look close enough you can see that the drivers side door looks as if it's not shut all the way...it really is it just sags a little. I put new hinges on, but it still sags so I'm gonna try gettin a new striker bolt and see if that works. We finally got the 350 it. It runs alot better than the old V-6 it had and looks better too. Hopefully I'll get the pics up soon. I plan on goin to a automotive college and learning auto body and collision repair. I'll probably start working on it then, which will be the start of the restoration. My ideas as far as a restoration go are that I wanna do a resto-mod. I wanna paint it a really dark green (almost black), shave both handles and the gas cap, put a Malibu rear bumper on it and put the tail lights somewhere else, and put an '81 front end on it.
