Here is my 1992 Coupe as I bought it in 7/06. I bought this car to eventually replace my 1993 Yellow Convertible. I had gotten quite nervous about driving the Yellow car on a daily basis, as the drivers here in ATL are terrible.

I was on the search for a clean car that would be a daily driver and reliable. After looking for a while I found several cars most of which were either worn out bad or extremely pricey.

I finally found a car that had a few things done to it. It was a 4 cylinder converted to 5.0. It had SN95 brakes and '01 Bullitt wheels, 3.73 rear, Cobra intake and a fresh 302.
The price was right.

I took it home after what I thought was a good shake down test drive. The closer I looked the more I found wrong with it. Oh well, it was mine.

Many things had been butchered upon good inspection. I spent the next month fixing lighting issues and little gremlins. I have never seen someone screw up wiring so bad. Electrical tape is not the way to repair wiring.

The car did not come with a Cat pipe, so luckily I have one. I installed to get through emissions. The car passed no problems.

This car has idled like crap since I owned it. I thought it might have a bad mass air meter and swapped with a friend for troubleshooting, not the problem. Checked the IAC, not the problem. Checked the TPS, not the problem. So getting pissed off with it; I decided to pull the Throttle body off of another car and check it. This car came with a Professional Products 65mm unit and I installed a FMS 65 MM unit. Go figure the car started running fine. So I checked with a friend of mine concerning Professional Products stuff and he said he always has problems with the TB's. So I sold the TB on Ebay and installed a FMS unit.

The A/C did not work so I took it to work and charged it. I found that the car was constantly overheating when the A/C was on. The idiot I got the car from had installed a 94 Mustang GT electric fan. I removed the fan and found the motor was bad. After re-wiring the whole fan set up and installing a Lincoln Mark VIII elec fan everything started staying cool. What a cluster &$@#...
If you ever need to install a great electric fan the Mark VIII fans pull 4400 cfm. If you are installing this fan in a Fox body car you will need to upgrade to the 130 amp alternator. So, I needed to upgrade mine car to the 130a unit. This is a must install for just about any Fox body cars. I used the tech info from The Corral:

This is a very good set of instructions to perform this upgrade with. I have used them for multiple cars. I also installed a 3 core radiator that I had laying around. Now in traffic in the middle of summer the car stays nice and cool with the A/C blowing cold.

Removed interior and installed Dynamat, new carpet, headliner, door panels. Converted from blue to smoke grey. Interior looks nice. Installed new headlights and clear turn signals.

I came across a couple of deals on Ebay. I bought a set of iron GT40 heads and 1.7 RR for next to nothing. I ported, polished and gasket matched the heads myself and installed new valve seals. The car came in the garage on Christmas Eve and was finished the next morning. A small pick-up in performance even though I have never dyno this car, ther was a big seat of the pants difference. This car already had an E-cam. This car lopes hard for a car with a small cam, it amazes me.

I have decided no one needs to ride in the back of my car. I have fabricated a rear seat delete. I covered it with carpet that matches the floor carpet. With a lot of fitting and trial & error. It came out nice. This is great for keeping anoying people out of riding in your car.

After a year with the car, I started having clutch issues. I also had been having some grinding going in 3rd and 5th. So, since I was removing the tranny for a clutch, a re-build was in order. I purchased a T-5 rebuild kit and my friend I rebuilt the tranny. I installed a FMS King Cobra clutch kit. I have always had good luck with these clutches.

Driving down the road car just quits running. Cranks great, no spark. Go home steal coil off my other car, swap coils no change. Go back home get spare distributor and swap units. Car fires up first try. The thick film module went tits up. Swapped the module and re-installed original unit...What a pain in the ass.

Decided to treat myself for Christmas. I ordered the Cobra 13" brake kit. Since I already have SN95's I just needed the caliper & rotor kit. The swap took less than 2 hours with beer stops. I also had to install a new master cylinder ('93 Cobra) & brake booster. I also had to do the 3 to 2 port conversion. You will find this website quite informative. I pieced everything together myself, which was much cheaper (Ebay).

When going from bone stock SN95 brakes to the Cobra brakes; what a difference. The stock Fox and SN95 brakes suck. I should have done this years ago on all my cars. Besides, the car is much safer now.

Well the car is real nice now and I usually get bored with something about this time. Here are a few pics in its current state.
