Project title:  Jam's TE-31 '78 Restoration

Got another TE31 corolla 2dr sedan Deluxe A/T at Clark Air Base, Angeles City in Pampanga. Car was stock for almost 10 years sitting at a garage..

 Car is in running condition with her original 2TC 1600 Engine & Automatic Transmission . Original chromed parts intact (grilles/ bumpers/ side mouldings/ original emblems/vehicle ID Plate.

Interior are all original & well preserved (three spoke steering/ dash/ sidings/ seats/ sidings/ mattings)! Panels & Gauges original & functioning well & so with thestock original am/fm stereo..

Project Aim:  Restore Car to original form with all Major & Minor parts knock down.

                   1. Scrape to Metal Painting Jobs to be Painted with Red Anzahl 888 paint.

                   2. Engine-suspension-all glass panels-interior all pulled down.

                   3. Seats to be installed with customized U.S. black leather with Toyota logo pressed

                   4. Wheels to be installed with 13" banana type enkei mags.

Here it goes!!!

Major parts pulled down (engine/ electricals/ wheels/ suspension/ dash/ carpets & ceiling)...

Priming up with epoxy primer paint..

The thing I like most about this car is that its metal frame is fresh.. I didnt have any problem on body works..

Had some body works but very minor like fixing up some dents.. Even the rear trunk is fresh!

Automatic Transmission Detailing and Differential Coating with Anzahl black with top coat finish..

Same Anzahl black with top coat clear finish with under chasis parts and other accessories..

Painting it Anzahl Red 888 with minute details underchasis is emphasized.. and so w/ the engine bay!

Installing back fully refurbished and buffed engine.. with cooling system & electricals!

 with trunk gas tank and rear accessories back to its original perspective..

.. Front - extended rubber guard for the plate number was remove to accommodate wide local plates (U.S. Plates are shorter in lenght) 

.. Rear- I'm contemplating on spreading out the plate number lights installation to allow protector frames on my plates. Also plan to replace existing muffler with dual barrel for sporty look.           

Under the hood: "I need original Air Cleaner assembly on my carbs for a 2TC anyone?"

..My TE31's 1st lift at Servitek for her 2 1/2 inch lowering kit installation. 

..My humble, simple, and neat looking TE31 after almost 4 months of work.. & a lot more details of work to follow.. Still looking for those hard to find original:

1 -  center wheel caps for old school;  2 - TE31/ KE30/35's gas caps;

3 - Chromed or stainless exterior ceiling mouldings

... Anybody??? Just give a shout please.. 

Plan to install these 15inch Supra Mag wheels with 50 series Good Year tires..

LET'S GO OLD SCHOOL BUDDIES!!!
