Here is this years Demolition Derby car
I will post more Info on the build when I get a chance
Before
After
Some more Shots
Progress Note:
-The majority of the trim is sitting in a pile on the lawn. -The heater box shroud/AC lines have been removed.
-The battery has been relocated to the passengers footwell area.
-The exhaust has been cut and taken out just shy of the Y-pipe where both the Headers meet (more back-pressure for torque).
-I cranked the Torsion Bars up something like 5-8 turns (hehe) and installed Chevy Wagon coil springs in the rear so it sits nice and high. No ass-dragging here...
Derby Rules state that the middle of both bumpers cannot be taller than two feet, and both of my bumpers are sitting at 20 inches.
I just shot my numbers on the side (51) and will get some pictures of the car when it is done. I also got the gas tank relocated, strapped down, and covered. Hard fuel lines were run from the gas tank through the middle of the car through the firewall to prevent any possibility of a kink/break during the demo. All glass has been removed and the hole in the hood has been cut. The holes for wiring the trunk and hood have been made also. The interior is completely stripped now with the exception of both front seats and most of the dash.
