My new Rims

New Pics of my Ride with my new 17" Eagle Rims

nikhilb's 1966 Ford Cortina

I took a big chance by purchasing these rims. I have met a few other guys that had 17" rims on their Mk1's but alot of modifications had to be made eg. spacers and PCD changes etc.

Thanks to Steven of Eagle Star (also the previous owner of the car), I was lucky that the rims just bolted on. Thank god for that. The best part is that they dont even touch on the arches even with a load. But the only tyre that can fit on these rims are a 204/40 x 17. I can go bigger in the back but not for the front.

I managed to get tyres at a good price as well. I have on the car BF Goodrich G-Force Profilers. No I can get the traction that I need so desperately.

The picture below was taken at the tyre fitment place. All the guys that work there had taken out their camera phones and had turns taking out pics of the car. I even made a few friends with some Ford enthusiasts.
