This is my 1988 Isuzu Trooper. I am currently looking for ways to make it better. I am not looking for an off-road mud buggy but want it to perform better up here in Alaska. I am looking for an Isuzu spare tire cover and anything else I can get for it. When I bought it, there was about 175,000 miles on it and I have put about 7k on it since. Paid only $1000 for it. I have made it into a "Panel Trooper" (i.e. no back seat). The back area is plywood with foil insulation and exterior grade carpet. I have finished making my interior side panels. I used exposed fasteners because it would be easier to remove the panels if necessary plus it still looks great because I used all of the same fasteners.

About mid September, my engine gave out. I have picked up the gasket set, and a few other parts too, from a great website, http://www.partsdinosaur.com/ , which has just about everything for the engines of these beasts. I still need to get it running. My future plans are to get a new paint job done. I got my official Isuzu Trooper Shop Manual and LOVE it! I picked it up from Helm Inc.

My dad has some not-being-used KC daylighters I am going to be putting on her after my engine overhaul. I am also looking out for a higher output alternator for it as the 60amp one wouldn't power those lights very well. =)

Please feel free to contact me.

Thanks for that , I'll have to check around. Have only just joined actually and haven't loaded any info in as yet but I have the 87 diesel and I'm messing around with that. Love it's honest simplicity and the diesel , well , always loved diesels . It's only the 2.2 , pretty gutless but very honest. Cheers
