Hi

My name is Eqmal. I'm proud owner of Camry 96. I've bought it last year. I want to show my pic on my car

Pic taken from front angle

When I bought, it comes with custom 15 inch rims. Personally I would says... it's ugly. When I got enough money, then I'll change it to better looking one

Many of my friends who owned Camry same years as mine compare with mine as mine a bit different :
- almost all interior are leathers; seat, steering, dashboard, doors but not roof while
- there's abs stiker on third like brake
- air-cond flow control are buttons while they use knobs
- my car is more expensive e.g my friends bought for Rm 29K while my car cost Rm 35K

I really don't know what type of my camry is. what i know is my car is fully imported and the 1st owner is a company. then im the second owner

so far, i didn't modified anything on my car. I just replaced previuos player (a blaupunkt with cd changer) with my jvc. i did't change the speaker as speaker are all from blaupunkt build-in and the sound really2 awesome

in future, i plan to change the looks of my camry exterior
- paint it white
- change rim to a better looking 16' inch
- tinted windows. i prefer goldust
- paint brake calipers to gold

thats all. no need fancy modification. I like the original look

pls give commnet. tq

Hi buddy, wow..... talked bout prompt reply & u are the man! Well, definitely 17" will be heavier than your current 15" but if u were to go for 17" then by all means go for light-weight rims like those branded Japanese wheels but nowadays, Taiwanese branded wheels are pretty affordable & light-weight as well but not as light as those Japan ones. If u are going towards looks & handling, then u gotta compensate the fuel consumption & less acceleration. Don't worry bro, it's not as bad as u think of. Oh yea, original tyre size from factory for our SXV-10 Camry is 205/65/15 but usually owners replaced it with 60 series instead of 65 bcoz of the thickness. Hmmmm...... don't bother getting Hot Bits lowered coil springs for our Camry as it sux. If u are seriously searching for aftermarket lowering coil springs, then perhaps I can bring u over to my friend's shop in Seri Kembangan / Serdang area to check out what he has in store for u. FYI, he's one of the famous specialists dealing with various car suspension system. All my rides' suspension are fine tuned by him & I'm one damn happy plus satisfied customer of his. It's not bcoz he's my friend as I'm one bloody fussy consumer. :P Perhaps we can hang out for a drink one of these days. Check your Private Message mailbox in Cardomain & I've provided u with my contact numbers. :)

Hi Eqmal, it's great to hear from u buddy. Thanks for your compliments on my ride & our SXV-10 Camry is the last batch before the SXV-20 is introduced in M'sia. Our suspension is slightly tuned to a more comfortable ride but in order to get it lowered, U'll be having a hard time sourcing for lowered coil springs for our ride. The set of lowered coil springs are actually bought in Japan by the previous owner & it saved me the hard time. I'm planning to go for full adjustable suspension from Titan Suspension but damn, the price is more than my budget. I would suggest that u go for 17" instead of 16" as the price for 16" & 17" tyres are not much apart. Besides, riding on 17" is great especially for its road handling feel. If u prefers comfort, then I would suggest u go for 215/50/17 sized tyres. Oh yeah, I'm staying in Desa Petaling area & I always hangs out in Puchong area as my fiancee is working there & so does most of my friends, buddies staying there as well.

Nice ride that u got there & may I asked whether yours is running with the 5S-FE 2.2L engine or the V6 3.0L? Those leather seats & interior are stock from the V6 3.0L variant. Personally it looks cool if your Camry is white in color like mine. FYI, our batch of SXV-10 Camry are of the last batch in Malaysia which is fitted with ABS all 4 wheels with digital air-cond with slightly tuned suspension as well. I've the exact same specs model as yours & previously it was Magnificent Diagraph Sdn Bhd (Carrefour chain hypermarts in Malaysia) company car. Check out mine as well alright. :)
