UPDATE- At the moment she is in the body shop getting a new hood, fender, and bumper. (a slight driving malfunction) Anyway, also getting that dual core aluminum radiator I always wanted. Plus get rid of that annoying pushfan of the front of the old one. Will post new pics when she ready for the road once more!

9/15/08  Showoff of the Week!!

Top Ranked Oldsmobile! thanks to all you guys for checkin out and rating my ride!

09/08/08, -- 12/07/08 91 days running! thanks guys

This is my baby. it is the first car I ever owned, and paid 900.00 for it when I was 16. Now 22, I will wouldn't give this car up for anything. This car was found stored in a potato cellar where it had resided for 15 years. Because it was underground the paint mostly survived, as this is still the original paint. On the downside, rats got to the inside so it was shot. The motor still started right up with the original 394 rumbling from deteriorated pipes, and the tires were still good to drive away. Since I have owned her almost everything has broke at least once. I redid the interior first, all new custom job with attention to color scheme matching. Then the motor blew, a busted rod ruining my fun. A rebuild there, new exhaust pipes too. Replaced the generator, the starter, some wiring. Then the motor broke again, due to the idiotic mechanics who did the work. This time I decided to upgrade. A 455 with TH400 for more spice. But it wouldnt be complete without 750 edelbrock carb with matched cam and intake too, plus aluminum racing pistons to save rotating weight. That along with dual 2.5 inch pipes mated to twin flowmaster 50 series mufflers. New tires too. Somewhere along the line, I had a Alpine stereo deck installed, under the dash where it wouldn't hurt anything, along with a pair of Alpine speakers on the rear deck. I also had a pair of Poweracoustic 15 inch 1600 watt subs, but eventually sold them and the amp. (I outgrew rap music) Now a lot faster than was ever intended, and just the way I like it. So here she sits, come a long way, but a long way still to go. Next she needs to switch to an aluminum radiator (she runs really hot, so far I have kept it in check with an aftermarket push fan on the radiator) Then heads, and I still need headers, Although they will need to be custom made to fit. Thanks for checkin out my ride! Let me know what you think; rates make the world go 'round!

Hey nice Olds! I've got a '61 Starfire and I'm going to put a 455 in it. I need your help a little. Like how and where exactly did you attach the motor mounts? What type of mounts did you use? What type of trans mount did you use. Any thoughts or pics would be greatly appreciated. Thx
