This is my money pit but I do love it. It's an 89 XR with lots of mods The side skirts,arches,rear wing and front bumper all are factory Ford originals no fiberglass here. Engine mods are Esslinger aluminum head ported and polished with big valves running a flat tappet 454 lift cam bottom end has flat top pistons / 9:1 compression with ARP rod bolts and head studs. Exhaust is a SS header with external waste gate , SS front to rear 3" down pipe back two muffler and out with two 2 1/2" tailpipes Turbo is a TO4E. Engine management is done with Micro Tech stand alone along with Walbro 255 in tank pump and 72 Lb. injectors and MSD ignition and wide band O2. Rear end is a Quaife and rear brakes have been converted to disc.Suspension has all poly bushings new springs and struts/shocks and the list just keeps going there are a few things still to do like the tranny is still a T9 but will soon be 4 or 5 speed automatic unless I change my mind and install the T5 I have sitting on the floor also have the large Cosworth front and rear sway bars to install. This car is just a blast to drive and I love it when heads turn an take another look and wonder just what kind of car it is.
