This is my 1985 Jaguar XJ6 endearingly named "Ginger". I purchased Ginger for $500 in December of '06 and she has been the best investment I have ever made. Yes I had the option of putting in a Chevrolet 350, Corvette LS-1, Ford 5.0, etc. etc. yet I stuck with the classic 4.2 litre. Why? I wanted a REAL Jaguar, not a lump. With slight modification of the engine, speed and reliability have been no concern whatsoever. I scoff at the people who say Jaguars are "Unreliable". I never had an engine problem with ANY of my Jaguars that I have owned and the ONLY reason why I had to replace Ginger's engine was due to the fact I red-lined her original engine for 20 minutes straight. The Series III XJ6s are the last of the truly gorgeous and REAL Jaguars (They were purchased by ford in 1988.) and are the pinnacle crowning achievement of British luxury. All of her electrical components function as they should (Once again people complain about Lucas products, I've never had a problem with Lucas products.) because I take care of Ginger. More photos to come soon.

This is what the engine looked like after I pulled it out of the donor Jaguar

Completed engine. I also painted the engine in British colours. :D
Another shot of the completed engine. This is 3,000 miles into the engine after I drove it from Rhode Island to Florida with no problems whatsoever....And people say Jaguars are unreliable hah...
