After sliding into the back of a mini van with my 95 achieva and messing up the grill and hood pretty bad, I decided to make the repair a DIY project.

I purchased some "gutter guard" at the home improvement warehouse (you know, the stuff that keeps the leaves out of your house's rain gutters). I used that for my "billet grill" material. I then purchased some aluminum strips from the hardware store to serve as a sort of frame. The bolts that are holding the frame together are black hex screws but they're rusting, so I purchased some stainless steel bolts which I will install in a few days.

The bottom of the bumper split right down the center when I apparently hit a parking divider. I decided to pull the two sides together with plastic pull-ties and cover it with blue duct tape. It looks a little strange but It's pliable, so it has a little "give" if I encounter another parking lot divider.

The wheels are 16" American Racing. Don't remember the model.
This summer I hope to install a chrome exhaust with dual pipes.
I hope to post more pics when I get a better camera and do a little more work on the car.
