This is my 1991 ford ranger. I've been working on it for a year off and on. I've searched all i can find about the engine. Its a 2.3l 4 cylinder with a 5 speed. if u know anything about the engine then let me know. Because i'm trying to get more horses out of it.

i painted the truck with the inspiration of chip foose's 2005 mustang. very nice even though ive seen many cars in my town that have the same paint scheme as mine but oh well.. i plan on throwing some tribal down the side to split the black and orange. post some comments and tell me what u think i should do with it.

Nice. You didn't really say anything about it. Is that Vulcan or a Cologne and what tranny? Anyway, for Cologne-built 6's, check into a book about How to Build & Modify Ford 60* V6 Engines. Great book. 2.9's heads are pretty restrictive, but with a slight port match, should flow better than cheap headers. Then up the pipe diam to 2-1/4". After that, just port match the intake manifolds. 2.9 auto's are really weak & almost always blow the head gaskets before 120k. Warm ram air sounds cool but runs slower. There is a sneaky true cold air mod that looks 90% stock. The Ranger Station has it shown well.
