Thank you for visting this 1968 Oldsmobile Toronado profile.

Please do not be a stanger to add this super rare Oldsmobile musclecar to your favortive list!

Gold 1968 W-34 Toronado that is not for sale at any price either, this car has be willed.
Please see updated question poll. (Aug, 14, 2008)

VIN# 394878M618779. Built on the first week of April of 1968. Was sold new at an Oldsmobile store in Pala Alto, CA. First owner had it for 10 years(used as a company car for a winery). When throught  two or three different owners in CA, from 1978-1993. This rig was shipped to Horseshoe Bay, Texas about 1993 or 1994.
Unlike the red 68 W-34 Toronado, this West Coast Olds is fully loaded. Besides the super rare 400hp W-34 option (only 111 for 1968), FACTORY AM/FM Strero radio(rare), transmisssion cooler, passager seat recline(the seat can fold back, as well as forward, most of the 1st generation Toronados, the seat just fold forward), cruise control, chrome wheels.

Comman options stuff ,tint glass pw, 6-way power seats and  manual ac(this Toronado DOES NOT have the Comforton A/C option - Thank GOD).

Options this Toro DOES NOT HAVE: trunk rack, vival roof, passager side rear view mirror, bucket seats and console (console was a $90 option new).

I was told by the former owner that this car was suppostly ordered with factory gas shocks.

The Rocket 455 and OM THM 425 transmission was rebuilt THE BEST Oldsmobile enigne builder in the USA, Dick Miller.

Dick Miller(around 1995, about $6000 was spent on rebuilding the engine and transmission).
This car came to the Mid-West around 1993 (Missouri and Texas), was in  Cleveland Ohio area, Westlake  in 2003- June of 2004.

This Toronado came to Maine in June of 2004,when my friend from Westlake, Ohio drove  to my house in Maine.  My friedn from Ohio got a ride back from a friend who was attending Bike Week in Lancina, NH.  I met Indinia Larry that Friday night(two months before he got killed), what a super nice guy he was.

This gold 1968  W-34 Toronado was a repalcement car for my blue 1968 Toronado ,(which also happens to have the W-34 option as well.)  Please see the profile for the blue Toronado on my page.

Production for 1968-70 W-34 Toronados: 1968: 111  1969: ?   1970 (also known as GTs) 5,341

Only 1968 and 1970 W-34s had notched rear bumpers.  Non-optioned W-34s had a staright edge.

All 1969 Toronados had a straight edge rear bumpers(W-34 option or not), all 1966-1967 Toronados had notched rear bumpers.

The photos of this gold 68 Toronado was taken on Saturday 21, 2007 at the Portland International Airport.  One of the airplanes in the background was in the Berlin Airlift, back in the late 1940s.
