My Latest Project.
If you know anything about B series trucks 89-92 you know it is very very difficult to find one that is rust free. Grabbed this one from North Carolina. 100% rust free. Mechanically it has big issues related to horrible backyard mechanics...but those are easy for me to undo and fix. Ordered a JDM Engine and a bunch of OEM trim parts. More pics to follow as I tear her down and rebuild her. These are arguably the best trucks Mazda marketed in the US...Not like that rebadged Ford Ranger crap they sell now...Look for more in the coming weeks.

Truck has a nice fresh engine and is stripped down and ready for paint.  Its remarkable how rust and dent free this truck is.  A few dings and burned north carolina clearcoat.  Stipped down and ready to be refreshed.

should have back from paint in a week.  I have an entire new interior and its going to be sweet!

Bought a parts truck.  Interior is mint.  Has all the parts to let me go retro and loose the fender flares!  Mudflaps and interior buckets.  Its amazingly clean but auto transmission is junk...

R.I.P.

On December 29th 2008 the old girl gave her last organ to a rust free project B2600i from North Carolina.  Her old, tired and rusted frame and smoking engine let out its last puff at 1:00pm. She was hauled away to that big mazda sanctuary in the sky. (Not before we took her wheels off of course!)  May she, and the family of man eating mice and moles she harbored, rest in peace.

Truck is nearly back together.  Interior is installed and about 90% reassembled on the exterior.  Interior pics:  Went with a leather seat and ACC molded plastic floor.  Not building a show car.  Building a durable, usable 4x4.  Very clean look for this truck.

man 5***** i like what you have done to the interior . but i want to put bucket seats in my 92 B2600i 4x4. i am going to do what you did to the floor use that rubber flooring . as with going 4 wheeling you will always get into water some where. I had the opposite with my truck the engine is great. but i have some rust around the back finder. but lucky me i took body and fender in high school. and worked a few summers in a body work shop.

hey tom, just got the same color 1993 4x4 5 spd and ready to go thru it. I need a jdm engine for mine and wonder where you found yours. Did you use the old manifolds and all. I consider swaping for a diesel while i'm at it. The body in mine is great, engine is wasted with 154k miles on truck. I am in alaska and hard to find parts here. Really happy to find this truck and look forward to the finished product. i will post a picture when i can. thanks chris
