I just recently bought this Metalic blue 1990 Festiva L Plus. It is low mileage and its condition is as good as you will find anymore. I thought it was a real find in these days of $4 plus / gal gas. Im happy to have found it. It is an EFI automatic with Cold factory A/C. It came with the factory trims rings and center caps. Look at the window sticker for the full package. I bought it from the original owner who still had the window sticker as well as all the other associated paperwork. The car has had the best of care for the 18 years the previous owner owned it. I was told it was alway garaged and it looks it. It had some mechanical problems which I have fixed. The rear spindle nut was stripped. I found that out checking the brake pads fortunately instead of losing a wheel. It needed frt wheel bearing, a inner tie rod, a muffler, and the brake needed bleeding. There was new brake fluid in it but it apparently wasnt bled properly. The previous owner decide to buy a Mini Cooper and knowing I like festivas. (this is my 10th) they gave me the opportunity to buy it thinking I would give it a good home. And indeed I will. Other then the mechanical problems I have done the following upgrades. Added the festiva L Plus decal, there was none on it. Switched out the factory AM/FM w/o cassette for a factory AM/FM with cassette.Upgraded the dome light with a dome light/dual map light combo. Added a factory rear window wiper/washer with switch. Added dual factory power mirrors. Added front and back mud flaps. Added some chrome door handle and window crank trim. Added a variable speed intermittent wiper stalk and module. Also added a factory rear cargo light and cargo light latch switch. I have purchased a rear cargo area cover with hardware and have a factory rear hatch spoiler I will add as soon as I get it painted the matching color. I also have a dash clock to install. I have also found some 13 inch wheels for this car with the same bolt pattern as original. 13" tire are easier to find then 12s and about half the price anymore. I had the wheels sand blasted, primed and painted and am having 13" uniroyal tiger paws put on them. I will put one set of 13s on this car after I find the right wheel treatment. Right now I leaning towards the trim rings and center caps. This car is a real solid unit and I plan to keep updating it and trying to get it as mint as possible. Im real happy with it other than it being an automatic. I have a 5 speed I may put in it some time but for now Ill drive it when I go to town. Its kinda nice not shifting in traffic all the time. Thanks for looking Ill update this car as it evolves.

I bought some new in the box factory OEM Mazda BG chassis 1990- 1994 323 Familia GTX GTR power electric mirrors , they were almost a direct fit on the festiva. Just a little hole enlargement. They have the same "swoopy" lines just like the 1990 ford festiva LX mirrors and were an easy upgrade. They work perfectly, same electrial connection and all. See power mirror video below.

Much more to come !!

Found a like new cargo cover( and complete hardware ) to add to the hatch area. A nice functional rare option. Keeps things out of sight and out of mind of prying eyes. 7/28/08

That is some of the more beautiful gas savers I have seen. Keep up the great work on those.

I was amazed with your Festiva collection they all look nice & clean. If you have some time come and check my costumed Festiva. Maybe you can tell me some more about the power mirrors I would like to maybe use some for my Festiva.

Nice and clean! Way to go! That's a good car. I've had two of them before which have been sold and I'm looking for another one now. Nice and so easy to maintain. Very good on gas too. The power mirrors are great on that one. Keep it up with that ride. I give you 5 stars. Cheers!

All you need now is a wall of subs in the hatch. http://remotecontrol.mtv.com/2007/08/15/the-pimp-list-vanessas-91-ford-festiva/
