News 24-04-10 Glorious weather we're having now, so commenced a thorough cleaning using Meguliars products. Shampoo > Claybar > Shampoo > Step 1 Painter Cleaner > Step 2 Polish > Step 3 Carnuba Wax > Tyre Gel. Certainly burnt a few calories but she now gleams. Also depicted are my new seatbelt pads by TAKATA. The next mods to add is the very rare N1 spoiler luckily in ready BS7 blue and a Nismo single DIN cluster with Oil temp, Boost and Torque split dials. The latter two are not really needed, in the case of the torque split this would have only been usable on the R32 from which the cluster originated. Wiring this up will present some interesting challenges. Also considering rear window tints in light grey - the AC has been removed so this would marginally help interior temps in the hot summer days ahead. News 22-04-10 Been a while since an update has surfaced. The biggest mod to date is the new K-Sport 356/32 8 pot front big brake lit, now recently complimented by some Super Swirl rear discs with YellowStuff pads. Perhaps a rather long awaited upgrade but brings with it some stopping assurance leaving me the dilemma of disabling the ABS. Alarmingly, the rear OE calipers and pads were seized with the pads non-existent. Would have thought a MOT would have picked this up but it was evident that they may have not been changed ever?! Consequently, as a result of the big brake I've had to change my alloys so I opted for Rota Subzeros in gunmetal gray with polished lip. Would have loved to get the Rota GTR but sadly only available in 17" and with 8J width minimum which wouldn't fit inside the arch without major wing flaring. News 28-01-10 Well here's a result, the car is back and all is fine. Turns out we don't need the MSD stuff, the stock GTiR dizzy, sender and ignition module seem to do the trick and consistently too. There were some issues with the loom connectors not holding on their own so they were soldered in and a new loom was wired for good measure. So the oil cooler and oil filter relocation kit is now all plumbed and functioning. A happy 1.3bar of boost!
