9/22/08 update:
Our local Volvo club went on a cruise last weekend. One of the guys followed me home and played with the carbs, adjusted the throttle, and "modified" the airbox. Butt-dyno indicates a little more power and faster throttle response, but the 3 speed automatic gearbox is robbing the power. It will be replaced by a proper manual transmission.
