I am a Marine that just so happened to come across a great deal on this car. Now, it's been fun and all, but it's a hassle. Not only because I am learning everything about it as I continue on in my journey, but a car like this has to be perfect. The only way to do that is to have a little patience, and for me, patience is a virtue. I originally bought this car a 2.5T with an automatic transmission, and now currently converting it to a 2.6TT with a 5spd conversion. Just recently I found someone selling a GTR33 AWD Setup for $900 and I bought it. I will be converting it to AWD here soon as well. I know I know, it's a lot of work, but in the end, I'll be happy with the outcome, and on top of it, I can actually say "I built this car from the bottom up!"
Front view, but the license plate holder and grill are going away
If you look closely, you can see some quarter panel damage
275/35/19 in back, 245/35/19 in front
It came with the dvd player, but it's going away too, don't like it
Isn't that a nice rear end
Here's the original motor, on it's way out as well
There's the auto shifter, that's already out
A couple shots of the exhaust
The Hicas Unit
Adjustable Suspension
The RB26DETT itself
Here is the engine bay without the engine or clutch master cylinder. I found a really good deal for the rubber hoses under this hood. They are from Austrailia, but they're like 100 bucks, so whatever. Ok, so I've started another project that has to do with this pic. Take a look closely at the subframe. It is gone. I replaced it with a GTR AWD Subframe and currently converting it to AWD. I have to cut and bang out a space for the transmission. You'll see pictures of this on the last page.
Here is the mid product of the clutch master cylinder, I still have to paint behind it, and get a seal or o-ring of some sort to protect against water. This thing was a pain in the ass to bleed for some reason, heck, for a while, I thouhgt it was broken.
I guess this is right. A GTS-T with a GTR motor would be a GTS-R right? Anyways, here's the new grill with a GTS-R emblem to boot. The GTS-R emblem will be going though as soon as I get the AWD Swap from a friend. Well, forget about the GTS-R emblem. It will be a GTR now. But don't worry, I'm not one of those that's gonna put GTR all over my car. It will just be emblem free. Except for the GT on the fenders.
