Welcome to my 1988 Toyota Mr2 Supercharged page
This car has been my project for the last five years.
I would like to say a special thanks to my dad, for all his help. As well as all the people that have supported me on this project. A special thanks to my brother Jesse, for all his help with the welding and body work. Fred at KEY imports for all his mechanical and electrical work and Don at Rumpleseat Restorations for doing a lot of the body work and painting. Also a big thanks to the guys a Garage Five for all there technical help.
I purchased this car in fall of 07. When I bought it the body was strait and the body was 99% rust free, which was quite amazing based on the climate that I live in. When i bought the car the engine had a spun bearings, so the engine had to be replaced. So it was project. I end up replacing the motor with a JDM 4A GZE that had a C52 LSD transmisson on it. In April I am going to switch back to an E51 transmission.
The car currently has 191,000 km (119,000 miles) on a flawless body.
The car is an original supercharged car and the swap was not hard to do.
I did a full remake over of the engine bay when I put the JDM 4AGZE engine in. I took the interior out , but I left the front dash and the door skins in. I have also rock gaurded to the whole underside of the car.
Currently in the final stages on the completion of the Megasquirt ECU swap.
I have put most of the work and modifications into this car myself and I stll have plans for more modifications in the future.
For 2012, I have already rebuilt the E51 transmisson, with all new syncros and a Kaaz LSD. I am planning on installing the new tranny in mid April. There is still some body work to be done and I am planning on having the car repainted in the spring of 2013. I am also going to add some more exterior modifications in 2013. Final completion date is set at May or June of 2013.We'll see if that happens.
I am going to try to keep this site up to date as much as possible. So check back soon to see new update.

The Pulley Bro's 103mm supercharger pulley installed

The new location of the intake system

The new Mishimoto ratiator
The new fuel system

The old fuel rail next to the new P2R high flow fuel rail.

Here are some pitures of the new Mishimoto oil cooler.

This is my new custom intake pipes with a new 2.5' diameter. You can see that there will be more air flow with the increase in diameter and with the decreas in air restrictions by the original pipes. I have also total by pass the abv system and I have done the abv vacum mod too as well.

Here is some shots of the pipe after it was installed on the supercharger. I had to use two gaskets in this set up, because I had to put an adaptor plate in so that I could clear the supercharger. I also have the new intake manifold pipe installed.

Here is a shot of the intercooler after it was mounted and the piping was put in. I have not completed to piping for the entire system yet, but I am getting close.

The Vovo 850 Turbo throttle body mounted to the custom made intake inlet pipe.

The intake piping re-routed

The new HKS blow off valve

The air that comes into the intake cone goes directly into the supercharger. The reason for this is because I have removed the idle speed control unit.

This is the final set up for the intake system. As you can see in some of my pictures, the system is quiet complex.

The Momo Cores steering wheel

The new supention set up
The new tie rodes and rebuilt suspention.

The new baffle kit installed.

The new Spec flywheel that will be installed in April along with the E51 transmission.

The new Spec Stage 3+ with ARP flywheel bolts that will be installed in April along with the E51 transmission.

The new APR GTC-300 61' universal spoiler, with Gurny flap, all mounted up and ready to be put back on the car.
