My 1968 Pontiac Catalina after a brand new set of tires; she still looks like the "GTO That 8 Too Much"; did a little body work since I bought her

Some cleaning and painting under the hood, installed new plugs, wires, vacuum hoses, oil and air filter change for the 400 cu. in. engine; cleaned up the interior and met a new friend in Indiana with another 68 Cat who had some of the missing interior trim; Even as rough as she is, she still turns heads (probably in disbelief).

Got a lot done but have a lot more to do.....

Great '68 Cat, man!! I'm currently doing a body-off restoration on my '68 Cat with the Ventura interior. Frame is painted/detailed with some stainless steel brake & fuel lines from Inline Tube added (still need to take the front suspension apart and replace everything). Body was sent to a blaster and cleaned inside & out, undercarriage was sprayed with thick plastic truck bed liner, firewall sprayed in gloss black, primer sprayed inside & out, and placed back on the frame. The original 400ci engine has been bored out .030"/decked/line-bored/special cast pistons installed to lower the compression ratio slightly to about 10:1 from the stock 10.5:1 so I can run high-test pump gas, heads resurfaced/3-angle valve job done/hardened seats for unleaded gas/fresh valve train components, hydraulic flat-tappet camshaft is from Summit Racing and has 262/272 advertised duration and .420"/.442" lift. Carb is a Q-jet from a '68 GTO that has been modified. Still need to get the Turbo 400 rebuilt with some mild performance upgrades. CAN'T WAIT to have it running again by next summer!!!! will try to post some pics after it is done!!!!
