Lowerin the vans!

Here's my parts van lowered. I know its only the back, but the front will start immediately. There's actually alot of clearance left, even without a C-notch. I left the stock bump stop attached on the driver's side and took the passengers side off to see what the difference was in clearance. Turns out that the bump stop is pointless. There's TONS of clearance w/ out a bump stop, so im gonna take the sawzall and cut them down to short little things so that there is still a stopper. Anyway, all of this was done by myself without a kit. This project cost me LESS THAN $15.00 USD!
Just did the front today. The 6th picture down is of the different levels of the van. To the right side of the picture, I cut off 1.5 coils on the spring. To the left is the side where I cut 2.5 coils off. The left side is really low and the suspension is gone, its rides on the bump stop! the right (drivers) side is ok, but still not low enough. So I took out the drivers side again and cut off .5 more coil so that the total was 2 coils cut off. It is the perfect height this way, but it still rides on the bump stop, but not as bad as the other side. I don't have the torsion bar installed. Hopefull putting this back on will make it raise up of the bump stop. If it does I'll be happy. Anyway enough jibber jabber, here's the pics:

ok in this pic, the left(passengers) side is lowered by 2.5 coils. The right(drivers) side is lowered by 1.5 coils. I later lowered the drivers side by cutting off .5 more coil. Sorry theres no pic of it, it was dark by then!

When/If I lower my real van, maybe I'll make a document explaining how to do it. Anyway, hope you like it!
