Okay so I've been thinking about something lately and this is what I have come up with....oh and btw when I originally wrote this it was in a myspace car group and the first sentence is the name of a guys profile who just likes to go into every car group and stir things up.
okay this nigga fo life guy is really irritating and everywhere, but what is actually starting to irritate me most is people with muscle cars. Don’t get me wrong I love muscle cars, my all time dream car is a 69 Chevelle SS 396, my favorite car is a Camaro, and I would give both my nuts for an 04 Cobra Mustang. But here is the problem. You have some kid who is just getting into college or maybe just doesn’t have much money. They go out and buy a pos honda just because they can afford it. Being a pos they want to fix it up and make it better. Sure most honda owners say there cars run 13’s wether they are stock, have just an intake, or an intake, exhaust, chip, single cam or dual, they all seem to say they run 13’s. The point is is that it is there car and they are proud of what they have done to it. They go out and try to share it and some person with a v8 muscle car comes up and starts bashing the kids pride and joy just because it’s a honda.
I myself own a v6 Camaro, it’s a piece of shit, worst investment I have ever made. I was in town talking to a guy with an 03 Cobra Mustang and an 02 z28. Both are beautiful cars and have several mods. We are all just chillin and having a good time and I have seen under the hood of both of these cars before and ridin in them both. I ask to see under the hood of the Cobra again and the guy in the Camaro says, "dude, you own a broke down v6 Camaro, go get a real one then come talk with the big boys." I should add the guy with the Cobra will not race a honda if it has a turbo on it.
I don’t understand why people can’t just be enthusiests(sp?) anymore. Why can’t we look at a ride and give it respect for having things done to it, congratulate the owner on something they have done you haven’t seen before. Who cares if it’s an 8, 6, or even a 3 cylinder geo. Most of my friends are muscle guys and tell me they will never let me by a Honda and everytime I tell them, "you know what, fuck you. I happen to like the eg6(92-95) (civic)coupes and one day I want to build one. I think the body is a decent looking body, there is plenty of after market for the vehicle, and hey, I’ll run 13’s with a stock 1.6."(That was a joke, more of a mochery actually.)
I myself never cared for Scions. One day after some kid in a tc failed at an attempt to out run my buddies evo 8, and probably his attempt to impress his girlfriend, I logged on to cardomain to check out some tc’s. After looking at several of them I found one that cought my eye. I was impressed with what the person was doing with it, and to this day still talk to the person and keep updated on what is next with this tc. Even while looking at cars I don’t particularly care for I can keep an open mind and still give people credit. This is a value I think the car community is starting to lose and I am noticing it mostly with muscle car people.
As you can see from reading this I am both giving credit to and bashing both muscle cars and Hondas. I treat them all the same no matter there make, model, or color. I must also add that at one point I did not care for Scions at all. I kind of liked the body of the Tc's but that wasn't enough to draw me in. After that day with the Evo I had pretty much lost all respect for them, until I signed online that night. After finding that particular Tc I am talking about I have done a little research, watched some videos, looked at this one and looked at that one. That one Tc opened my mind to them all and I can honestly say that one day I would not mind building a Scion Tc. So to everyone out there I will say this: Keep building your dream, no matter how big or small, don't let a bunch of assholes knock you dreams down the drain. Dream it, love it, build it.
New News
Hated to do it, but I sold the car. I didn't have the money to fix it and a guy offered me $800.00 cash for it. While thinking about it a friend of mine should me a Camaro he knew of. We went to the guys house, looked at the car, talked to the guy and I pretty much fell in love with this Camaro :) The Camaro will still have a 3.1 in it, so I can still find the motors potential.
I talked to some people because my car was going through an amazing amount of coolant. It turns out my lower intake manifold gasket is no good and the coolant has been going into my block which could cause internal engine problems. So I need to get the money to fix that and change the oil and filter, then hope my motor isn't fucked.
This is my 97 Monte Carlo LS. It has the 3.1 liter in it. I couldn't think of anything to call it, so I labeled it "The Hurse" Because it is the car we brought our dog to the crematorium in after she died.
The current major issues with the car is a bad intake gasket, water pump(maybe), and driver power window motor. I got an amazing deal on this car, it was free. I'm not doing to well financially and my mom was going to trade the car in. They only wanted to give her $100.00 for it, so she figured I would appreciate it more.
The smaller less important things wrong with the car is the carpet. It has holes in it and needs to be replaced. The headliner has an tiny tear, nothing I'm really going to worry about. It is missing the center arm rest as well. Other then that the interior is perfect. It could use a radiator flush and new tires in the near future. An alignment wouldn't be a bad idea either. My mom was going to trade it so she bought used tires and didn't even bother getting them balanced.
Future plans are basically just a cat back exhaust, K&N filter, and a different set of wheels. I'm leaning towards a flowmaster 40 or 44. If you have any other suggestions for a cat back then please let me know. I'm looking for something with a nice deep growl, not something that makes my Monte sound like a Civic with the muffler cut off. No major plans, no "D's" or hydrolics. Not hating, some of those cars look nice, just not my style.
I don't really care for these wheels, they came with the car.
