In June of 2008 I bought this SHO. It looked damn good on the car lot, except for one small problem. The cam shafts inside the engine were not welded and sounded like they were about to spin. Fortunately, the used car salesman did not know this and thought it was just a bad engine or just a bent valve. So I got it for pretty cheap: $1,400. That's pretty good considering a 1997 SHO is around $5,000 to $6,000 used.

After it was all said and I done, I got it welded for $40. So, I definitely got a break. Check out some pictures below.

The interior is flawless, no rips, tears or blemishes. Just a little dirty, that's all.

Modifications

Cold Air Intake - This intake is from SHO Source. It features the Spectra intake cone.

Aesthetics
I bought some vinyl decals off eBay to give my SHO more of the "SHO" look. I bought a big windshield vinyl decal and two smaller door decals. They all came out pretty good.

don't you just love good deals I bought a 1997 that the owner thought was a Head gasket failure.. that would be extremely rare on these cars. It was the water pump belt.. 50$ 500.00 for the car thank you very much!! these cars hold their value very well also!! Nice car the paint looks very new!!

I didn't coat it. Mine is just prepped really well and painted with high heat gunmetal metallic. Cheap, but effective. I bought a spare because I had a tune for an IMRC delete and it's my DD so I couldn't tear it apart and not have the car at the time.

I saw your post on SHOForum about coating your intake. I have a complete upper and lower intake I no longer need if you're actually interested in persuing that. The only problem is that the IMRC cable is snapped on the lower. Let me know.

Thanks for the compliment on my sho. Your sho is heavily identified and anyone should be able to see what it is! I'm sure this is what you want. Does the spectra intake cone cause your engine light to stay on? Your car is very sharp and all gen 3's that are in good care deserve 5*****!
