Body Work & Paint

Started work with my man Jed today on getting the body work started on my car so we can work on getting my car ready for paint. Its all a secret on whats going to happen but I can tell you that it's going to look BADASS! Here are a few pictures I snapped after we put some filler on and sanded everything down. We've got a few spots on the sideskirts and the front bumper to finish fiberglassing up and getting it ready so we can rattlecan prime some spots and then just wait on the DAMN WEATHER to warm up so we can get everything painted. Enough babbling, here are those pictures.

Jed worked on the car a little bit more yesterday. Filled in some dents in the driver's door and we're gonna work on evening out the side skirts on the lip that goes inside the door. Gonna make it look like it actually fits right. Heres a few pics of what he got done last night. He got the whole car wet sanded down and ready for paint but now we have to wait on the stupid IN weather.

Jed took the side mouldings off yesterday and tried to finish getting it ready for paint. Gonna go back today sometime and try and make sure everything is ready so we can start priming .

Everything is ready now. Few things here and there to sand down but it is ready for priimer and layout of the stripes. Also got the SS hood put back on today. Just a waiting game now.

Took the car in and started the painting process today. The taping off and masking part took entirely WAY to long but we finally got it finished and got to painting. Didn't get anything cleared today because the temperature dropped but we got the stripe painted on and finished the hood stripe onto the front bumper. Here are some pictures from today. I will have the finished product tomorrow.

Well I have bad news. My painter got a hold of me Sunday night and informed me that my clear coat ran, but here's the kicker. When the clear coat ran it took some of the black paint from the stripe with it. Now the stripe has the be done as well as the clearcoat. I want to throw up. Everything was going so well and now its like it is. Now I have to drive the car as is until the weather warms back up (about 2 weeks), and then give the car back to him so he can fix it. AAHHHH!!

well i got my car back today all DA'd. Stripe looks GREAT! I love the way it looks and the surprise looks great too. Now I have to wait on dang weather to warm up to finish it. There may be another surprise in store for you guys. Not quite sure yet tho.

Well we finally got to paint the car again and this time it came out GREAT. Still working on the front bumper a little bit, but the car is done just needs to be buffed out. I changed my mind on the graphics in the stripe and like how they turned out ALOT better. Should have the car finished by Thursday.

Got the front bumper painted and cleared last night. Jed's gonna work on it tonight. Had a small run in the clear but nothing that can't be wet sanded and fixed. Looks good. Can't wait to get everything put back together.

ITS DONE!!! Its back in my hands finally. Got some pinstriping left to do and thats about it besides cleaning the car back up. I'll have new pics ASAP.

Well I started on the pinstripe today. Got the passenger side done and also got the front bumper finished. It started to rain and storm so I had to quit. Looks great. decided on the red. Here's a pic:
Friend took a candid of me this morning while I was under the car. Have a small tranny leak I was checking on. Looks like the car ran over me.
