Page One: THE CAR
Hi my name Mark Cassera i am 14 years old and i live in New Jersey. Two years ago we found this stang in a broken down shed in Wallington, New Jersey. The man who sold it to us already had bought most of the interior components and all we really needed to do was install it. But, the problem was everything that we need on this car is a challenge to find. Its a challenge because we found out a week after we bought the car that only about 6000 convertibles were made. The car is a 1971 mustang convertable with a 302 2 barrel. It has black interior with the console. We bought this car about 2 years ago a complete wreck. Since then much has been done (everything but bodywork really!) My brothers 64 1/2 stang has been in the bodyshop, and has recently been finished getting painted, and were next! We finished the interior a few monthes ago, and are going into the bodyshop very soon to get primed and painted. We have yet to decide what color to paint it, so any ideas would be appreciated. We plan on getting boss stripes on it, and putting a new black top on it, because ours is shot. Although it may look like a rustbucket right now, pretty soon, it will look how a classic mustang should look!
Heres a few shots of the car

Front shot...as you can see, both doors are different colors. We had to replace the originals because they were rusted out. We currently have no grill, because ours is cracked, but will have one very soon.

This is a picture of probably the only other nice part of the car as of now (other than the interior): the engine bay. Since my brothers 64 1/2 stang went into the shop first, we had a lot of extra time to work on the interior, and the engine bay...notice the chrome valve covers, air filter, alternator, horns, solonoid, AND our jethot coated flowtech headers!

Probably MY favorite part of the car as of now, the interior. We just put all our new stuff in, and it really looks great.

In this picture, you can see our new hood that we recently purchased. We plan on running ram air to the 302 this way. This was a GT option in 1971, and was VERY hard to find.

This is just a picture of the rearend.
Well thanks for checkin out my restoration project..i will have many more pictures up when more things get completed, so KEEP CHECKING BACK!..please check out my brothers 64 1/2 stang when you get a chance...thanks a lot
