Owww, I broke a rearend body mount on the left lower control arm. So now it's time to tub it. That's not going to happen till after I move to OK. next year. Which sucks, cause that's next year.
This has been a fun and frustraiting build. It's taken me 3 yrs to get her where she is today. The paint is a custom color called infurno red, the black stripes on the hood have ghost flames (only to be seen when the light hits them). The engine is a 350 4 bolt main with roller rockers and a gear drive with a small cam. The tanny is a 350 turbo with a shift kit and a 2000 stall. The rear end is a 12 bolt with a 3.73 posi. As for the frame it has a 6 pt roll bar and subframe connectors with adjustable tubular upper and lower control arms on the rear. As for the front, it has Monza V8 coil springs and s-10 spindals and rotors, it also has Monza motor mounts. Is for the gas tank, that's out of a 70 Camaro. This is the way Chevrolet should have built them.
Ok here it is the 383 I said I was going to build. I can't wait to put it in, I'm having a problem though the block is a one piece main seal and all the oil pans I've found are for a two piece. Anyone have any idea which one that they know will fit? I'll have more photos with the valve covers on and the carb.
Cut front bumpers, Looks COOL.
Fiberglass back hatch.
This is the guages after I went to a machine shop class so I could build a new dash from scratch. I didn't like the original dash, plus the new gauges wouldn't fit.
Ghost flames in the black stripes.
This is Charley walking behind the car, he is the one who get's all the credit for the way the paint job turned out. Thanks Charley!
