I've gone through all the vacuum the car has and couldn't find a leak.  Instead I found that it was sucking water from the Vac Ball.  I don't know how, but it was happening.  The car idles smooth and has a steady 18-19 In. Hg at idle.  I'm getting kind of excited.   Coming to an end soon.  With it running correctly and all the hoses replaced I decided to tackle the other stuff.  The gauges are done now.  I'm running blue LEDs in all of them.  I also finished my Cossie grill.  No it isn't just a hole cut into the stocker.  It is the stock grill but fuberglassed to have the Cossie grill.

I bought this 85 Merkur for $760. It ran and drove, but the steering rack is bad as well as a tie rod end. I've since been fixing things and slowly getting things running better. Boost leaks galore were present but are gone. The turbo was supposed to be rebuilt, it seems to be tight.  Rips loose rather easily once boost comes on.  Still a few glitches to fix.  I have a T5 swap underway and a custom autometer instrument cluster in the works too.  Car has a large VAM and LA3 currently.

Yeah I know its a shame that I don't want to keep the 2.3T, I have alot of people aregue that one with me. Turbo Cougars are pretty rare, I plan on leaveing it orig enough so I can restore it in future years but for now while I am young I plan on enjoying it to the fullest. I always loved the Merkurs and had a friend in high school who had a Scorpio. I couldn't help but notice you had ChuckW mounts, I actually know Chuck he's a hell of a guy. Have a good one dude.

Hey, thanks for checking out my Impulse, the turbo I have is a ebay knockoff t3/t4, I know what turbo you are refering to, I have one of those also, along with my stock rhb5 turbo, and a stock turbo with the bigger rhb5 t-bird compressor wheel and housing on it like the one you have pictured on the right. Sweet car you have. I dont ever see them. It would be cool to, I like to see rare cars get modified. 5 stars, later
