My Rover 214 finished in new Mazda 2's Spirited Green (paint code 36a) with some very slight mods.
I have taken the headlights apart to spray the chrome bits in black, apart from the reflector.
Front lip, sideskirts and taillights bought from scrapyard for 83 quid :-)
Everything painted in my home garage, this is my second car painted ever by myself and I think the outcome is not too bad :-)
This is the car the day I bought it:
Bought it for 195 pounds with no MOT/TAX and knackered starter and battery. Have replaced both myself(cost=35 from scrapyard), bought sideskirts+taillights+front lip (cost=83 from scrapyard), 2L of paint (cost=84), 1L of clear (cost 15), have done the MOT (cost 30 + front exhaust it failed on = 35 , guess where from :-) scrapyard + 20 some welding), and wheels with tyres (cost 65+tyre fitting 20)
The total cost 582 pounds and a lot of work. Just hope it doesn't look a 582 pounds car :-)
Now that I have practised some painting, I am starting to modify my Mazda MX-3, to follow on CarDomain shortly (...?)
