This is my 96 chevy tahoe LT fully loaded or what was considered fully loaded when this truck rolled off the assembly line. I have had it about a year and some change. It was in really good shape when I purchased it, engine ran strong no oil leaking or squeaking just smooth and quiet and the suspension was tight no accidents whatsoever. Performance over cosmetics is what I always say.
Current things I've done so far are
1.a true cold air induction kit volant power core setup.
2.new mass air flow sensor with cold air tuning
3.56,000 volt ignition coil (much better then the old 38,000 if it was even that when I got the vehicle
4. hei distributor rotor and gear kit(basically replaced the whole thing from the distributor cap all the way down to the gear)
5. be cool heavy duty aluminum dual core radiator for 4x4 and towing applications (cools tranny fluid and engine oil) definite drop in temp,
6. switched to 10mm spark plug wires from 8.5 msd super conductor wires
7. bbk 80mm throttle body.
8.Edelbrock ceramic coated headers
9. 200 amp high output alternator soon to be a 300 amp.
10. stronger fuel pump put on a new fuel filter as well because it was clogged.
11.ultra torque starter, baby cranks right up even on the coldest of winter days.
12.Replaced old original poppet style fuel injection system with new AC Delco MFI injection upgrade. A definite for 96-01 vortec engines.
13.Replaced all four old worn out oxygen sensors with brand new O2 sensors
14.Big 3 upgrade complete. Custom 2/0 welding cable kit made for positive negative and starter cable.
15.converted all exterior lights to L.E.D except headlights those will be h.i.d and a new L.E.D third brake light much bringhter and nicer then the stock
16.New exhaust system from the headers back. 2 4x9 polished magnaflow mufflers, 2 high flow cats, x-pipe, all new piping and 2 polished roll tipped edges.
16.new 6000k h.i.d lights for lows and 4300 for highs
17.l.e.d side signal mirrors replaces glass and entire black plastic housing. Helps out alot for those drivers in your blind spots especially for us truck and suv guys.
18. 4300 kelvin h.i.d with 50 watt ballast for high beams and 6000 kelvin h.i.d with 50 watt ballast for low beams.
19.new viper 5901 two way remote keyless entry and remote start.
20.msd street and strip ignition box.
21.new nitto trail grappler tires and black rhino wheels
22. shaved off all emblems, badging and molding along withother miscellaneous cosmetic changes

new bbk 80mm power plus throttle body. Works really good together with an aftermarket air kit but even better if you have a custome exhaust as well.

New upgraded MFI injectors for the 96-01 vortec engines a must if you still have the old poppet style
As you can see the tips on the new MFI injection system are electric instead of the standard pressure style on the old one.
