The "other" cars...
1969 Rustang.
The one car thats older then me. Bought it for $1200 , 64K , 2/23/91. I've always liked the 69 look with the high beams inthe grill. It had the 302 V8, 220HP. This POS would stall on me, caught fire once, and blew black smoke

1979 All Mistakes Combined Carry All.
This was a winter beater I got for $1500 in 92. At the time, I had the IROC, and after one day not being able to get out of my driveway, it was time to get this.It had a Chrysler 360 with an Olds 400 trans. It threw 3 rods in the 2 years I owned it. It drank a quart of oil a week, but it made it up when I went four wheeling in it. I actually had to replace the rocker arms one time at a cost of $300(and that was just for the rocker arms). This thing would push over street signs, port-a-potties, anything...it even pulled a couple people out of the mud & snow. Sold it to a friend and about 5 months later, the engine blew.
1985 Sunbird. I bought the car for $300 from a friends g/f. The fan didn't work, so when it got hot, I'd have to pull over for awhile. I never had a chance to get it fixed and a friend borrowed it, cracked the head, off to the junkyard it went. No pics.
1984 GMC S15 with Corvette 350.
I paid too much for this POS on 6/94. It had a 74 vette 350, turbo 400, 650cfm Holly, manifold & headers. I had to replace the driveshaft, radiator & had to d-arc the rear springs because I cracked one of the lowering blocks. It had a real nice system though. I did a partial trade with this for the white 89 Formula.

1988 Cavalier, 65K, paid $1400 10/96. This car went through everything, It would not die. This was one of the most reliable cars I've ever owned. In the 4 years I owned it, the only things it need was a water pump, TBI rebuilt , exhaust from the cat back. It wasn't pretty to look at, but it was the true definition of a beater. I sold this (read- gave away) to an ex girlfriend. Ever since I had my IROC, I'd usually have a beater for the winter, and a nicer car for the summer.
SHO
I got this car as part of the trade with the 85 Corvette. When I first got it on 5/21/01 , it had 216K miles on it, it now has about 231K, on the original motor & trans. The things that have been replaced/rebuilt; altenator, clutch & fuel pump relay. I'm not really a Ford person, but this is one of the few Fords I like, mainly because of the 220HP , its a 5 speed, leather interior & power everything. I ran this at Tristate Dragway last year and ran a 16.1@86 mph in the 1/4. Not too bad as this is the first "stick" car I've owned. Its not pretty, but its gets me from point A , to point B. At 236K , the car started going down hill fast, sold it for $400.
