Well, I am 100% dedicated to Horsepower. My two biggest passions is the automotive industry and Horse back riding. I have been training in Dressage and Three Day Eventing for 16+ years. It's a challenging sport and it takes patience and alot of practice but it's extremely rewarding, exilerating and the amout of power, personality that these animals have just keep you craving more. I usually ride ex-racehorses fresh off the track and re-train them for other disciplines. Just like the automotive industry... It takes knowledge, skill, time, patience and the end result is very rewarding. So far, I have found Horse back riding much more physically demanding and dangerous, but perhaps when I start racing cars that could even up the two passions when it comes to danger :P Both passions are the same in different ways, Never attempt something you haven't been properly trained in, Over confidence can kill you, Don't be stupid.. Common Sense is key. Don't mess with a 1200lbs+ Horse or a 2000lbs+ Car, You'll lose.
My name is Amanda and I am a 24 y/o female persuing my dreams of becoming a mechanic. I am one of those grease monkey girls who would rather be under the car, or stepping in horse crap than fixing myself up to go to a bar or the mall. I dispise the colour pink, purses, high heels, dresses.. I am not butch, but known as the "Atheltic Tom Boy". I still look like a girl but I am just not girlie. My favorite genre's of music are Heavy Metal, Neo-Classical Metal, Fantasy Metal, Oldies, EBM, Industrial and Dark Electro. I don't mind the odd Alternative or Punk song but I am not fond of Rap, R&B, Hip Hop... etc.
For work I am currently employed at Costco as a Merchandizer. It's an amazing place to work, friendly and helpful staff, great pay and amazing hours. It's perfect for me at this current time.
