She now runs and is being upgraded!

A 1978 Porsche 924, originally Silver. I bought this car in the mid 90's, at the time it was a lawn ornament, but ran, but just barely. A bit of tuning, a bit of body work, okay allot of body work! a custom paint job in Candy apple brandy wine metallic (a chameleon paint mix, long before it was popular and easy to do!)
in the late 90's I went through all the mechanicals including a completely rebuilt engine, suspension, brake system, bushings and just about everything else. lots of custom parts as well, flat face gauge glass,
(pic before cleaning)
free flow exhaust, modified air in take (sounds great, no hp help though,) and allot of fine tuning. I used this car for a daily driver for a bit, entered some road rallies, and took it on the tour of the south east covering about 3,000 in a week enjoying mountain roads in Carolinas, va, w-va and such, had a blast and got great gas mileage to boot! ( 38+ at times!)
In y2k I was transfered to Florida, and had to leave her in NY. the intention was to go pick her up once I was settled in, but things happen and just a few months shy of eight years later, I finally have her home.
Fortunately, the long years of sitting were not especially cruel, there are some body work issues to attend too, tires, brakes and electrical issues, but really not bad since she was outside for 5 of the eight years.
when I picked her up, she was covered in mold, outside and in, and smelled like dead fish...luckily it wasn't "set in" so the smell can be cleaned out,and has, mostly.. but thats how I came to call her fish. The fake fish in the hatch flailed for the 1200 mile trip home, and got allot of weird looks, and some great comments!
so here she is now, at her new home in Florida, not even off her trailer yet. After digging out the nest from under the intake,
cleaning out the snake skin from the interior, and going over the important stuff, Im convinced she will run again again, and soon!
