Ok for starters i am a broke college student and my engine is pretty messed up so the main reason i started this page is to find some advice. if anyone knows any place i can get a good engine for relatively cheap then please let me no. I have always loved cars and bought this bout a year ago and got ripped off but i am tryin to save up and get her fixed up

I got a little over $3000, and that was about 5 years ago. I actually have a 98 Jetta GLS. The pics I have are not recent, I will post some new ones soon. It is pretty easy to work on and mod. I would definately reccommend a VW. Even the VW culture is great. I think you will be happy with that decision. Good Luck.

Thanks for the comment. As far as an engine goes, I would reccommend ebay. I was able to find all my engine parts on ebay. Actually I was able to sell my car (for a profit) on ebay as well. Good Luck and I think it looks great.

Hey man nice ride. I saw you comment on my page about the gauges. Im selling them for $30. If you want to see them, send me your e-mail and ill send you a picture of them. Like i told the other guy i was going to put it on my b14, but i never did. Instead i trade it in for the spec V :) Now your car has 1.6LGA16DE) engine, pushing 112 horses stock. That little engine has a lot of potential but at the same time you need to have deep pockets, which i don't think you have if you are a college studfen. My advice for you is to either go to the sr20-forum or the jdm-online.com and try to find the SR20DET. To swap the engines i think it cost 2g including everything. Well send me you email so i can send you the picture of the gauges and if you have questions feel free to ask.
