UPDATE FINALLY GOT HER ON THE GROUND OFF THE JACKS STANDS AND RUNNIN STILL NO PAINT AND BODY WORK YET BUT I THINK SHE STILL LOOKS GOOD. BUT STILL LOST OF WORK TO DO TRYIN TO GET HER PAINTED BY THE END OF JULY AND THEN I WILL START BUILDING MY ENGINE.BUT HERE'S SOME NEW PICS BEFORE AND AFTER SO FAR.

THIS IS MY 87 T/A PROJECT CAR AND I'VE ALREADY GOT A WHOLE LIST OF THINGS I'VE DONE TO IT. THE ENGINE THAT'S IN IT RUNS REAL GOOD SO I'M CONCENTRATING ON THE SUSPENSION AND HANDLING FIRST THEN I'M GONNA CONCENTRATE ON THE BODY AND THEN I'M GONNA DROP A SBC 350 IN IT THAT'S HAS A LOT MORE POWER THEN WHAT'S IN IT NOW. I WANT TO DO THAT THIS WAY I CAN STILL DRIVE IT WHILE I'M BUILDING THE ENGINE FOR IT.

I BOUGHT THIS CAR IN FEB OF 08' FOR 1,500 THE SUSPENSION WAS SHOT AND THE HOOD WAS CRUSHED WITH A BIG HOLE IN IT AND THE INTERIOR WAS SO SHITTY LUCKILY THE DASH PAD WAS GOOD AND I CAME WITH IROC RIMS THAT I HAD TO BUY TIRES FOR. AND THE HEAD LIGHTS WORK GREAT GO UP AND DOWN PERFECTLY.

THE ENGINE AS IT WAS WHEN I BOUGHT IT IS A 355C.I. SBC WITH OUT OF A 92 SILVERADO THAT WAS BORED TO .030 OVER AND HAS SHORTY HEADERS NO CATS WITH FLOWMASTER MUFFLER. SITTING O N TOP IS A EDELBROCK TORKER 2 AND A EDELBROCK 650 CFM PERFORMER CARBURETOR. BACKED UP BY A TH 350 WITH A B&M STAGE TWO SHIFT KIT. WITH A STOCK TORQUE CONVERTER.

NOW FOR EVERYTHING I'VE DONE TO IT SO FAR.

I REPLACED THE HOOD WITH JUST A STOCK HOOD AND CUT A HOLE IN IT FOR THE AIR CLEANER CAUSE IT SIT'S TO TALL WITH THAT ENGINE IN IT AND THE I PUT A 4IN' TALL FIBERGLASS COWL OVER THE HOLE. LOOKS GOOD I THINK.

I GUTTED THE WHOLE INTERIOR OF THE CAR I MEAN EVERYTHING. FROM THE FRONT SEATS BACK I WENT TO BARE METAL NO CARPET EITHER. THEN I REPLACED THE FRONT SEATS AND CENTER CONSOLE WITH CAMARO INTERIOR FROM AN 86 Z28 THE SEATS ARE GRAY AND SAY CAMARO ON THEM AND THE CENTER CONSOLE IS FROM THE SAME CAR. I LEFT THE CAR BARE FORM THE BEHIND THE SEATS ALL THE WAY BACK AND PAINTED IT WITH RHINO LINING. AND THE MOTORIZED HATCH WORKS ASWELL. THAT'S AMAZING.

THE ENGINE AND TRANS I PULLED THE TRANS OUT AND CLEANED AND PAINTED IT NEW GASKET AND SEALS REINSTALLED IT WITH A TCI STREETFIGHTER 3500 STALL CONVERTER. THE ENGINE I PUT A NEW BALANCER ON IT AND ALL DELETE PULLEY'S AC AND SMOG WITH A NEW BELT NEW HIGH FLOW EDELBROCK MECHANICAL FUEL PUMP. TUNED THE CARB CAUSE I WASN'T DIALED IN AT ALL. PUT A NEW 14" AIR CLEANER ON TOP WITH A K&N FILTER. AND THAT'S PRETTY MUCH ALL I'M GOING TO DO WITH THE ENGINE THAT'S IN IT. AND I'M GOING TO KEEP THE TRANS I HAVE FOR THE NEW ENGINE THAT I BUILD. SHE PUSHING ABOUT 210HP AND 345FT. LBS OF TORQUE FOR NOW

NOW FOR THE UNDERCARRIGE I HAVE TORN OUT THE ENTIRE UNDER CARRIAGE REAR END AND FRONT END STEERING LINKAGE SPRINGS SHOCKS CONTROL ARMS. EVERYTHING LITERALY.

I BOUGHT A REAR END FROM A 98 Z28 CAMARO I CLEANDED AND PAINTED IT AND IT HAS A ZEXEL POSI LSD IN IT WITH 3.23 AND DISC BRAKES. I RAN ALL NEW BRAKE LINES ON THE REAR END. PAINTED THE CALIPERS RED AND GOT DRILLED THE SLOTTED BLACK ROTORS.

THE SHOCKS ALL THE WAY AROUND ARE KYB AGX ADJUSTABLE SHOCKS AND THE SPRINGS ARE EIBACH PRO-KIT LOWERING SPRINGS WILL MAKE IT SIT ABOUT 1.5" LOWER THAN STOCK.

THE SWAY BARS I GOT FROM SPOHN THE REAR IS 1-1/4" AND THE FRONT IS 1-5/16" FORM SPOHN I ALSO GO THE A NEW TUBULAR PANARD BAR NEW REAR LCA'S AND REAR LCA RELOCATION BRACKETS. NEW TRANS MOUNT FOR A TH350 AND TORQUE ARM ALL FROM SPOHN EVERYTHING IN THE UNDERCARRIAGE HAS ALL POLYURETHANE BUSHINGS AND ALL BRAND NEW GRADE 10.9 BOLTS FROM SPOHN.

IN THE FRONT I DID THE C5 BRAKE CONVERSION I CUT MY OWN SPINDLES AND CUT MY OWN HUBS GOT HE MATCHING BLACK ROTORS FOR THE FRONT AND PAINTED THE CALIPERS RED WITH THE CORVETTE IN BLACK. THE ENTIRE STEERING LINKAGE KIT IS NEW ALL NEW BALL JOINTS AND CLEANED AND PAINTED LOWER CONTROL ARMS WITH POLY BUSINGS. I ALSO HAVE THE WONDER BAR FROM SPOHN AND THE EDELBROCK TRIANGLED STRUT TOWER BAR. WITH UMI BOXED CONSTRUCTION WELD IN SUBFRAME CONNECTORS. I WILL BE ADDING A 8 POINT ROLLCAGE VERY SOON TO FURTHER STIFFEN MY CAR. ALSO I'M USING A CAMARO Z28 MASTER CYLINDER AND BOOSTER WITH A CUSTOM MADE PROPORTIONING VALVE FOR FRONT WHEELS AND A WILLWOOD ADUSTABLE PROP VALVE FOR THE REAR DISCS.

I GO THE 2006 C6 CORVETTE RIMS FOR IT 18X8.5" IN FRONT AND 19X10" IN BACK. 265/30 19 IN BACK AND 245/40 18 IN THE FRONT. I HAD TO USE A 2-1/2" ADAPTER IN FRONT AND 1" ADAPTER IN BACK TO FIT THE CORVETTE RIMS

NEXT ON MY LIST IS TO START THE BODY WORK WHICH ACTUALL ISN'T BAD AT ALL THAT'S ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS I BOUGHT IT CAUSE THE UNDERBODY IS GREAT AND THERE IS ONLY MINOR RUST IN THE WHEEL WELLS AND THE ACTUALL BODY IS IN BREAT SHAPE.

THEN I PLAN ON TINTING OUT THE WINDOWS AND PAINTING IT RALLY BLACK WITH A MATTE FINISH AND NO STRIPES.

THEN THIS SUMMER I WILL START THINKING ABOUT KIND OF POWER PLANT I GOING TO BE PUTTING IN IT PROBABLY A 383 STROKER OR JUST A BADASS 350 WITH ALL THE FIXINS I'M GOING TO BE SHOOTING FOR 450 TO 500HP.

I'M TRYING TO KEEP THIS WHOLE PROJECT AT ABOUT $10,000 AFTER EVERYTHING IS DONE. AND SINCE I'M DOING ALL THE WORK MYSELF AND I MEAN ALL OF THE WORK AND SOME HELP FROM FRIENDS IM SAVING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS.
