Built not Bought
i had bought my neon new and hated it at first.then the tuner scene exploded and i was trying to fab my own parts because they didn't excist yet. But, know parts are endless. This car started out with a fabbed up intake and a flowmaster muffler. Now it has made it's way to a turbo and a magnaflow custom turbo back.I had blew my motor once before,a bent rod and burnt piston.Believe or not it was still drivable except for the cloud of white smoke because of blow by. The engine rebuild was the only thing that I didn't do. If i knew the garage was going to take 2 months on it i would have done it myself. Live and learn.
i know have AEM boost controller for the boost safety and AEM wideband to keep an eye on my a/f ratio.I do have it about 8.5 to 9 psi on an automatic stock 2.0 sohc. That for me is just enough to keep me out of trouble. I also equipped it with a MSD dis-2 ignition,MSD coil, 10.2 mm wires, and NGK iradium plugs. My ecu was relocated to my fender well to make room for intercooler pipes.
the mounts for my aem guages I hand made because there is no frog eye guage pods for neons.
this is my fuel pressure that i had to put on the outside because of room.
some day when I can take a full day I plan on taking alot of wires, hoses and plumbing off to resituate and wrap together to look a little cleaner
can you find what the difference is in these two pics? I had finally bought another intercooler. this style actually belongs on this car.it is also a little bigger.
I am looking now to either put a water/alcohol injection system on or put a ignition/fuel piggy back from AEM on.I am waiting to here from AEM to see wich would better suit my needs
I am starting to redo my audio and will plan to go with soudstream audio. For two reasons, noone has it in my area and i believe it is good stuff.
this is a set of 6x9's that i bought so i can hear and try out. I hope they are has good has i think.
