jaredcouture1976's 2000 Hyundai Elantra

This is my totally stock Elantra. With the track record on the transmissions in these cars I don't dare try to make it any faster. I bought this car so I could stay out of trouble. No more speeding tickets! Then I noticed I was smoking little kids in their Civics so sometimes I can't resist cause it makes them really mad. lol

I was supposed to leave the stereo stock to but I just couldn't stand it. After 14 years of installing my own stuff I just had to do something! So I built a loud clear sounding system for relatively cheap. It has a Sony Head unit, a 2 Channel Sony amp for my subs, a 4 channel amp for my inner speakers. It has Pioneer components in the front and Alpine in the rear. MTX 10" 4000's in the trunk. I have XM and a Parrot integrated Blutooth speakerphone that comes through the front speakers and Ipod control.

Hey, thanks for checking out my ride. I can only tell you that the b2200 nare the same from 87 to 93. and the fuel injected models will give you a bit more umph for your money but not that much. There really isn't a big after market or a ONE site that has a lot if any parts fro these trucks available. Try learning more about these trucks at mazdatruckin.com and join us there. there are a lot of answers and people that will help you find or fix whatever you need there. I myself am a member of mazdatruckin and learned a lot from there 4 years ago. In my case I just did a miata transmission swap which helps with the gearing and will be upgrading to a aluminum flywheel to increase response. Some of these parts are available but not marketed for our trucks even though the b2200 engine was the same as the Ford Probe and MX6 of the same years. there are carburetor upgrades like the weber which help a lot, the pacesetter header, adding electric fan etc. all these things I have done and more to make it more responsive so far.
