'02 Miata SE one of 1491 Built!

Here's my Wife's 2002 Miata SE. It's now 6 years old and has only 6600 miles on the clock. It still looks and runs just like new.
My wife asked if I could find a grille for her car. I found one at MiataMainia.com as soon as we get it installed I'll post new pictures. They even have a special running now so we get a FREE carbon fiber shift knob!
***It's INSTALLED!***

I had to remove the tie-down braces so the grille would fit. That was a PAIN! It took about an hour and cost me one knuckle (OUCH!). But it looks great!

The dark brown leather seats are what caught my wifes' eye. She saw the car just as it was unloaded from the truck. Even though it was still covered with plastic inside and out, we test drove the car. It had only ONE mile on it then and less than 6 when we picked it up the next day which included the 3 miles we put on it with our test drive. We loved the car so much, I bought one for me 2 weeks later.

The tires on the car are VERY low profile. If you have a flat it's hard to tell just by looking at them, but you can feel it.

The Special Edition badge lets you know it's a limited production run. It was to be 1500, but it came in just short at 1491.

Bose Audio with 6-CDs in dash audio. It has great sound.

This was a shot when we both had 2002 Miata SE's. I sold mine in 2007 to buy a Lotus Exige S. Please click here to see the Lotus Exige "S" page.

This was the "Special Gift" sent from Mazda just for the Special Edition owners.

While I was out taking pictures of the Miata, a storm came in and I got this shot by chance. I was taking a picture of the rainbow JUST as the lightning flashed. My wife asked "Did you get that?!?" I checked the camera and said "YES, I DID!" It was published on The Weather Channel's web page under the photo of the week section.
