1984 RA64 Celica GT [RWD]

Interpol's 1984 Toyota Celica

I Rebuilt The engine after a rod bearing went out on me. While I rebuilt my engine I also cleaned up the engine compartment, wires, and even custom painted the engine itself.

I've done alot of custom work on this car such as the CAI system and stickers. Next I plan on swaping a ultra-rare digital dash along with supra seats and JDM/EURO side vents. And maybe remove the rear seats or whole rear end for weight reduction. Also I'm trying to get my hands on a 2 way LSD.

A plan I've been thinking about is converting this car to the japanese GT-TR version. In Japan they had many versions of this celica. versions ranging from 3TGTE to the 4AGE engines. The GT-TR had a 3TGTE. A TwinCam 8 valve, Dual spark plug engine with a turbo pushing 160HP at 6000 RPMs.

The 3TGTE never came out in America so finding one in good shape is hard.. but the hardest part is finding one for cheap. And once you own one its hard to get internal engine parts for 'em.

So I've decided to sell my Celica to my best friend and purchase another 3rd Gen celica. This time I'm going to go with the GT-S trim and attempt a 22RTE motor swap with LC Engineering stainless steel Turbine header/downpipe. I then later plan on a T3/T4 Garett Hybrid Turbo, large intercooler with boost controler and turbo timer for long turbine life.

After the motor swap you cant forget to upgrade your breaks and suspension so I'll have to do that too. I know for sure I'll be using cross drilled and sloted rotors and steel braided break lines. As for suspension I havent made up my mind yet. But I know for sure I'll be swaping a MKII Supra rear-end for its LSD and larger diff ratio.

Once I get my new 3rd Gen Celica I'll replace this profile with the GT-S's profile. So keep cheaking back for my GT-S Turbine Project!

Thanks for looking at my RA64 Celica and please vote and sign my guest book.

I like it man, especially the blue engine. Also, where did you get those rear quarter glass covers? I was thinking of finding some for my 84GT restoration.

That's a pretty bad ass Celica! There's a new forum that started up, and there aren't as many 'Yota owners as we'd like... You should come check us out!! www.carforumz.com GregZimmerman1010
