I present to you... Casper. Casper is my built BP Festiva. You might be thinking something like "You're stupid", or "You're crazy", or even "What the hell?!"... But after dropping over $25,000 into my last Festiva (Pimptiva.com or The Pimptiva CarDomain Site), this is a drop in the bucket.
My Festiva is quick... The stock 63 HP, 1.3 liter engine has been removed and replaced with a 150 HP, built, Escort GT engine. That's a 1.8 liter engine, with about 130 HP stock... Take that and add Wiseco 10.5 to 1 pistons, bored 40 over, headwork, crank turning and balancing, lightening flywheel and machined for a Suzuki Swift stage 4 clutch, Toda adjustable cam gears, Escort "exhintake" cam swap, Pacesetter headers, 2.25" full exhaust, Walbro 255 performance fuel pump, UR crank pulley and more... Then add a bunch of weight reduction, lowered on FMS springs, Billstein front and KYB Super rear struts, Aspire "big brake" upgrade, rolling on 15" wheels wrapped in 195/45 Toyo Proxies... Interior upgrades include a set of racing seats, a custom harness bar/rear brace, and stripped everything else (all that's left is the dash and a piece of carpet to make the girlfriend happy.) The outside sports a ATH european bodykit and GTX fiberglass good, Kia Pride head and tail lights (that's the Festiva overseas), HID headlights, custom tail finisher/spoiler, OEM spoiler... There's also 8 holes in the roof of the car from it's previous life as a NAPA parts car. I swear, if someone will donate me a NAPA hat, I'll sport it to my AutoX events. :)
The car ran a 15.711 at Numidia Dragway when I ran it last year. I think the car has a lot more potential in it, just that I was still learnig to drive. I think a high 14 out of it is possible the way it sits now. And even lower with the nitrous that'll be in there eventually. :)
Casper also doubles as my autocross car. I got into 2 races last year and am planning to get in as many as possible this year. It's quick and handles really well. I'm waiting for the first race I can attend to see how my harness bar/brace will help.
Without further delay... Here's Casper!

HID's - w00t! :)

The newest addition, my seats and harness bar. The bar is now padded and has a video camera mount attached to it too. :)
