eX is a 1983 mitsubishi lancer SL sedan. she is almost completely modified to GT Lancer specs, except for a few details (window and door handle trims are still chrome,carb is still the SL carb) the engine waas completely rebuilt and overbored to 1600cc. to increase her power, i installed a simota disc type air filter, 4-2-1 headers,a custom exhaust and to top that a cam6 bumpstick.for fueling needs, she runs a single weber 40 carb on a custom manifold and is fed by a mitsubishi electric fuel pump.lighting the fire are a set of taylor 8mm racing HT wires juiced up with lightning bolts from an MSD blaster 2 ignition coil. once everything was buttoned up, the block was repainted hemi orange. the body was completely rebuilt with new sheetmetal and painted a custom mix of dark green. the body was done in-house at Julie's motorworks in alabang.I also installed a fiberglass air dam,copied from the lancer gt and a ducktail spoiler.interior mods include a pioneer 4600mp HU, 6x9 speakers, sport pedals,shift knob and a wood steering wheel. the interior was then re-upholstered with german leather done by sureseats. suspension bits include KYB nitrogen shocks, toyoshima sport springs and new bushings. currently she rolls on 13" Rota RB rims on yokohama tires.for aesthetics and better visibility, a bosch 6000k HID lighting kit was installed.
she is driven daily and is a hoot to drive. Being a rear drive car,her handling is phenomenal, specially along mountain passes and twisty roads like daang hari and PCARD at Makiling. Acceleration is slightly above average, but top her speed is out of this world for a car this age. she reached 160+ kph at SKYWAY and she can do more if i had enough road.ex can still hold her own against newer cars and even some tuner cars.She is not just a fast car that handles well, her beauty is also unparalleled . she has been in two car shows, the first garnered her a 2nd runner up in best interior and hundreds of stares and inquirees from fellow participants and spectators at those shows. Rain or shine,night or day, the legendary green will prowl the streets and will continue to evolve into a more amazing machine

Engine is originally a 4g33, but it was converted to 4g32 specs by adding bigger pistons(GT),new crankshaft,replaced all oil seals and gaskets with oem parts,an oem CAM6,cylinder head restoration, bosch super 4 plugs,pertronix igniter breakerless ignition, simota racing air filter (disc type) and full custom exhaust.
