i saw the car on cregslist and could not beleave that it was what i was looking for!!!! and it was local too?!?!!!. The car is in GREAT shape no body damage the interior is so damn clean no cracks in the dash or rips in the seat very little wear in the driver seat, the milage is 137,117 4.3 v8 L99,I told the guy that i was getting the car from that he could keep the rims and the amps and subs i don't want it!! but i got the head unit he had in the car but the braket he had was not the right one it was to big and the head unit kept falling out but i had a spare one from my 96 impala that i sold.... it work out great
a little info: A 4.3 L version of the LT1, designated the L99, was introduced in 1994-96 for the Chevrolet Caprice. It was externally identical to the LT1, but the bore was reduced to 3.736" and the stroke to 3.00" (similar to the late sixties Chevrolet 302 used in the first-generation Camaro Z28s). The pistons used in the L99 were the same as the ones used in the Vortec 5000 with the use of 5.94" connecting rods.
Like the LT1, it features sequential fuel injection, reverse cooling, and an optical crank position sensor. Output is 200 hp and 245 ft.lbf.
Due to its smaller displacement, it provides better fuel economy over the 5.7L LT1.
this is how i got the car 
the things wrong with the caprice
1)The ABS light is on (NOT YET FIX)
2)Passanger side viser was missing and bases was there (replaced)
3)The door bezels were broke and they were wood grain (replaced with the black ones)
4)The dash board was cracked (replaced)
5)rear view mirror was cracked (replaced) 
6)big dent in trunk lid --but not using trunk lid anyways--
7)some black box mounted on the dash bard and a red switch not to shore to what???... I took off 
8)over head dome light was not there just the wires fixed
9)hood light cover missing (replaced)
10)the low coolient light is on
11) small oil leak
12)cd player had the wrong plate to hold it in it was falling out of the dash fixed
ALL is fixed now i did all the work my self
i had to fix that cd player pictures of how mutch better it looks in right
I have the stock caprice classic rims with the white walls for now
but i have a set of impala ss wheels from my cuz in DC
i got the rims and she look a lot better now 
the car has 13% tint on it now, the guy that sold it to me said it was 18% but the cop said it was 13%...
the chrome stock grill NEEDS to go!!! i got a new one from the dealer black with silver grill bowtie
i'm ready to put my pair of smoke tail light on bit i'm going to wait tile i get the car painted so the paint shop wont have any fuck ups
i even got the same shocks on the imp and 2" lowered springs

i talk to my boi about his imp he said that he smashed it about a month ago so i asked if i could get some parts off his imp so he gave me his impala ss trunk lid with spoiler with no dents 
i got the trunk lid,impala seats front & back,center console,four black door bezels,
i got with the car the wood grain bezels and the door bezels were fucked up bad
i finished puting the doors on and putting the black door bezels
i just got the the side lettering both sides "NEW" black in color for $65.00 
for the chrome leaping impala was $12.57 for the pair "NEW"
damn i can't wait tile paint her black ..lol and i got a great deal on paint
i switched the seats out

i have a pair of impala ss head lights i'm putting on this weekend...the caprice doesn't have the black line over the head light like in the picture 
I just saw that it has a few rust spots li ke under the back seat on the passanger side about the size of a fist and under the driver back wheel well pictures below

i payed $1,646.97 with a 3 year warranty they did a good job... but they fucked up on a few things like the trunk emblem is up side down the passanger front and back doors still rub at the top and they for got to paint the sides were the doors meet it had some chipingand a few scratchs and you could tell that i was not freshly painted my fother pointed that out at the shop they said that the BMW they don't paint that part of the car I said does this look like a BMW???!!lol he said to bring it back in on tuesday and drop it off for a day and it will be stright over all they did a good job

they put the trunk emblem on upside down...lol it's covered by the warranty so they are going to fix it
they for got to paint these they said they didn't want thoses bcuz the they work on a lot of BMW and they just don't paint them... i said is it a BMW....
the doors are still not lined up but a lot better than what they were
rust spot fixed too they did a really good job on the welding and body work on this
I put on the clear corner lenses on damn they look good on there they sets her off righ!!!

well next is the rear axel it has drums.. I'm going to redo the brake system and put rotors and pads
as you can see i still have 4'of space in the front than in the rear of space between the tires and wheel well in the front you canreally see it 
in the rear it's not as bad you really can't tell
the onwer before me that tinted the glass covered the 3rd brake light and it was 13% tint. In va they will write you for anything no bullshit so I cut out the 3rd brake light it was not a real big thing just thought I would put up all my work even the small stuff

WOW i can really feel the difference how the car handles the new bilstein shocks and the eibach springs droped the car way down from 5" to 2.4" drop i just love the NEW feel in the car after the change in the suspension work

i ordered the smoke taillights i have had them before on my 96 impala the green one they weren't dark at all so i'm blacking out the caseing too

i got a new radiator i had a crack in my old one
i had a problem with the old head light wiring harness so i got this impala ss harness
my old harness didn't have the large side bulbs and I added amber bulbs like my park lights
saw this post on the impala fourm were this guy put blue bulbs in his cluster
i spreyed them with night shading to give them that dark black look

7/19/09 just today sprayed the stock corner lenses smoke so i can switch back and forth with the clear and smoke lenses
