R.I.P. : /

Saturday, June 6, 2009
I was headed to work on Interstate 295 and noticed that people were stopping. Dude infront of me slammed on his brakes && I knew I couldn't stop in time. I tried getting over but in the process clipped his driver side taillight/bumper. My tire blew out from the impact. I then tried getting over to the side of the road. While doing so I got t-boned on my passenger side, went air born && my front driver side tire/bumper landed on a white nissan. My car, of course, got totalled. Amazingly I walked away with bumps and bruises. I have NO idea how that happened. More so glad that my daughter wasn't with me. She wouldn't have been as lucky as I was. Took pictures with my cell phone. Will post later, once I send them to my email.

FUCK HATERS!
I don't need y'alls approval when it comes to my car. I happen to like it exactly how it is. I'm not on here for the ratings, I'm on here because this is a car site and I'm into cars and modifying them and what not. So keep on down rating me, you're not hurting my feelings. Thanks. Have a GREAT day.

Just a little bit of my opinion. I don't understand the whole buying a car and then converting it to something else. For instance.. the "Cavfire." If you want a cavalier buy a fucking cavalier and keep it that way.. don't buy a sunfire and switch it up. looks fucking ridiculous.

Just me. Simple 20 year old girl from Richmond, Virginia. Got a full life ahead of me.

I haven't been on in a while. My daughter spilled tea on my laptops keyboard, so it's not working at the moment. That's why it's taking me longer than usual to comment people back.

This is my 1997 Sunfire GT. It's my first car and I'm in love with it. It might not be anything special to some of you people on here, but it's what I've got and I'm happy with it, so I don't need the rude remarks saying "I don't know why you put all that work into a SUNFIRE!" Fuck the haters.

When I got the car it was completely stock. Had a little vibration casued by the tires and shit. Got all that fixed and now only problem with it is my final overdrive gear in my tranny is grinding and we're working on figuring out why my cooling fan won't cut on when it needs to.

Recently had to take the "sunfire" decal off my front windshield. Apparently it's illegal in VA to have them there. I bought a new one and relocated it to the back window. This is my old custom made box, the new one looks pretty much the same, just painted black. Shaved off the side emblems. (Sunfire GT) Removed the radio controls from the steering wheel, it looks so much better! Got my headlights cleaned. I honestly didn't know they were THAT dirty. Haha.

Sorry About your Sunfire...My Older Sister used to have a 1997 Sunfire...I'm really happy that you are okay from that crash...cuz I got that wreck beat...I crashed a Honda Del Sol (about the size of a Mazda Miata or a Toyota MR2) into some woods at over 100 Miles per hour, & that crash left me really messed up...it happened on August 19th at just after 10pm, I got Rescue Helicopter transported to Mass General Hospital, I was in a Coma for 2-Months...wasn't pretty...28 Months of Mental Rehab/Physical Therapy...it sucked

Sorry to hear about your Sunfire, I am glad you are ok and that your daughter wasn't with you. I remember when I had my accident in 2003, I had an awsome 1987 GMC Sierra Classic C/1500 and I had just replaced the engine in the summer had the cooling system just completely replaced in December for $800.00 and I was at a 4 way stop on January 20th/03 and a crazy lady ran it hit a brand new Tahoe and then shot into me doing about 50 MPH. I had just picked up my oldest daughter from a birthday party and she was 5, my youngest daughter was right beside me and she was 2. We were almost killed and the damnable part of it all was she just was not paying attention and almost killed 8 people that day. I remember falling out of my truck, cigerette still lit and thinking it was a guy, dazed and confused I was ready to kick some ass. I know how freakin crazy it is when in a situation like that and you are just along for the ride. So you going to get another SF GT? Take care...
