Hi my name's Zach and I own a green 1996 Pontiac Firebird. This car came stock with a 3.8L V6 making around 220 HP. My car is currently under some major mods, such as a 1998 LS1 5.7L V8 engine swap.
I purchased this LS1 on eBay for $3,500. It has 27,000 miles on it. This engine puts out over 300 HP, quite a significant upgrade one would think.
Here is an image of the 3.8L ready to be removed from the engine bay. As you can see it doesn't look too pretty. Almost 160,000 miles have been put on this engine.
I purchased these 18x9.5 chrome Z06 replicas and 275/35 ZR Kuhmo's on eBay for $1550. They should be here soon.
I ordered this Moore Performace '93-'97 WS6 hood from www.fiberglass-hoods.com. It should also be in soon. By the way, I didn't just buy this hood for looks. It will be functional as soon as I locate a Ram Air induction airbox, no luck at the local salvage. Besides, my stock hood won't even fit over the normal LS1 airbox, which is whats on it now.
I am also currently bidding on a rear hatch with a raised spoiler.
I am also currently bidding on ebony leather seats.
Future mods include QTP Long Tube headers and a QTP dual QTEC y-pipe, SLP Loudmouth exhaust and an LS1 hotcam pacakge.
And now for the system.
My current system compontents include a AVX-P7300DVD head unit, running off of a AVM-P8000R AV reciever. The are 6" Kenwood components in the front with 1" dome tweeters and Kenwood coaxials in the back. The subs are 12" Adire Brahmas powered by two Avionixx 800.2 amps which put out upwards of 1,000 watts. The box is made by Q-Logic. I'm using an Optima Yellow-Top battery, and a 160-amp alternator. The wiring is 0 gauge from the battery to the distribution block, and 4 gauge to the amps. All wires are Audio Pipe.
Future system plans include Focal components up front, and a custom fiberglass box and amp rack.
