This is my new van, an original '78 Dodge tradesman conversion. I just purchased it and can't wait for it's first road trip! It has just 38,500 original miles on it, and the factory installed spark plugs and belts were just replaced eighteen months ago! and they were all still functioning when removed, just replaced because of age. As I understand it, this van spent most of it's years in Texas as a family vacation vehicle. It has the 318 v8 motor and an auto transmission. It is so very vey seventies! The couch folds down, the seats swivel, and it has an ice box and sink. something I found strange, but very cool nevertheless is that all the seatbacks, including the rear couch, and the headliner, are leather!

Which to me is extra funny considering the fronts of the seats are plaid. 1978 must have been quite the year! haha I just purchased it so I will update this as I get to know the van better and make a few changes and additions.
Update: Recently replaced the power steering pump, reservoir, and lines, and fixed my temperature control cable. Though in the process a leak sprung in a vaccuum hose so fixing that this weekend, as well as doing some other tune-ups, and next week converting the a/c from R12. It's been a bit warm in there with no a/c and no windows that open besides the front ones. plan to put pop-outs on the rear doors so I can have some air flow in there. (Tried to upload some new pics but the site wasn't letting me, I'll try again soon. Keep on Vannin'!
Lounge chairs in the middle and high-backs up front

Great 'woodgrain' stripes
manual powered sink on far side of ice box. and get a load of the mirror door on the ice box!

The woodgrain that runs down the middle of the roof is also what is on the walls. Reminds me of those big driftwood tables.

It wouldn't let me list this as a b series van, though I understand it to be one. Also, I would like to find an old metal sun visor for this as well as wheel well flairs. Any info would be appreciated.
