Update: May 1, 2002
As of last Wednesday, April 24, 2002, I am now a proud owner of one of the last 2002 Audi S4s around. Two days ago, I pulled the stereo out of the Toyota to begin selling the equipment in preparation for mods for the S4. Currently, the only thing I've sold is the box and subs; everything else is still available! Email me at wgreen@ma.rr.com with offers on anything you may want.
You can see pictures of the S4 by clicking here.
The Car:
1991 Toyota Landcruiser, 101000 miles, red exterior/grey cloth interior, Steel Horse brushguard, Go Rhino taillight guards, Toyota-brand clear corner lenses, PIAA 520 fog lamps, 5% limo tint to rear windows, and 50% tint applied to fronts.

The Stereo:
- Kenwood Excelon KDC-X815
- DEI 1100d mono amplifier
- 3 JL Audio 12W6 subwoofers
- DEI 400 125x2 @ 4 ohm amplifier
- Focal Polykevlar 136k 5 1/4" components
- Lightning Audio Bolt Series 1.0 Farad capacitor
- Lightning Audio Strike 2AWG, Stinger 4AWG
- Stinger Hyper Series RCA
- Lightning Audio Wiring Accessories

Here's a picture of the kickpanels constructed of fiberglass and wrapped in vinyl. Excellent work by Andy at Classic Stereo of Grand Rapids, MI.

Closeup of the Focals and kicks.

Here's an overall picture of the rear: three JL 12W6 subs on top of the amp rack which contains a DEI 1100d (for subs), a DEI 400 (for fronts), and a Lightning Audio 1.0 Farad cap.

This is where I installed the remote gain to control the DEI 1100d. As you can see, I removed one of the coin holders and made a custom plate out of Lexan which was then painted to match the center console.

Here's a good picture of the Kenwood X815 in use. One of the features that caught my eye was the ability to use D-Mask+ or to remove the faceplate all together. Below the deck is the pocket which was purchased from Crutchfield that allows me to maintain a flush finish.

Here's a picture of what the deck looks like with the ignition off.

Picture of the Clifford alarm LED and buttons.

Here's my battery with Stinger battery terminals on each post.

This is a closeup of the ANL fuseholder which houses a 150 amp ANL fuse. 2 AWG Lightning Audio wiring going in and out.
Thanks to Classic Stereo of Grand Rapids, MI for making the kickpanels and installing the alarm. Also to all my friends who have waited and waited and waited with me to get the bump back in the trunk.
